Most fax machines will show receiving memory left or transmit memory left, if it showing receiving memory full make sure there are no paper jams and there is lots of paper in paper cassettes and it will start to print all the faxes in memory... if its transmit memory, you will need to clear those documents in memory to be sent, probably waiting in que....

Just purchased a used Sharp UX-330L fax and it says memory full. How do I clear the memory

Can't find a manual for your EXACT model, but here is a 340L user manual:

http://www.sharpusa.com/Support/ProductDetail.aspx?model=UX-340L

One thing I kept seeing on the web is mention of the fact that the memory could hold memory of around 30 pages. To me, this means that you might want to only send 25 - 28 pages at a time (per FAX session). I don't think you can "clear" the memory. It is just like RAM on a PC, and empties out when the task/job is finished.

Good luck.

Fax memory full lexmark x

Memory full, cannot send faxes
The printer fax memory is full. Press the check mark button to clear the message and cancel the fax.
• Reduce the fax resolution and try to send the fax again.
• Reduce the number of pages in the fax and try to send the fax again.

OUR FAX SAYS 98% MEMORY FULL SOMETIMES WHEN THEY TRY TO FAX SOMETHING. HOW DO I CLEAR THE MEMORY? NATALIE

Press Menu, 2, 5, 2. The screen prompts you to choose a fax setting. Press <-- or --> to select OFF then press SET. If there are faxes in memory when you turn Fax Storage to OFF, the LCD prompts you to erase faxes in memory. If you press 1, all fax data is erased and Fax Storage is turned OFF.

You may want to enable Real Time TX so you can send fax without using memory. (Under FAX-SETUP SEND-REAL TIME TX)

You may also disable Fax Storage if you don't want to store incoming faxes in memory for remote retrieval (Under FAX- REMOTE FAX OPT-FAX STORAGE)

For effective use of the memory, you may also clear the caller IDs stored in the memory. Press MENU, 2, 0, 2 Press the arrow keys to display # then press CLEAR.

Hope this helps!

Can not send more than 99 pages as PC fax.

Like every fax machine, there is a limit to how many pages it can keep in memory before needing to be cleared. Yours is apparently only 99. If you want to send more than 99 pages at a time without clearing the memory, i'd look for another printer.

HP6110 All in one

When the HP Office jet series all-in-one front panel screen displays Memory Full, the HP Office jet all-in-one is not able to send, receive or forward faxes. Copying will also not work. WORKAROUND: Though the memory buffer should clear itself automatically after proceeding with the next task, like receiving a fax or starting a copy job, these suggestions below may help you clearing the memory buffer by:
  • Add paper to the HP Officejet series paper tray
  • Clear a possible print jam and proceed printing the fax.
  • Reduce the copying or faxing resolution via the front panel's menu.
  • Use the HP Manager to send a (group) fax or making a copy. More memory is available this way, as the HP Manager utilizes the PC memory. When sending a group fax, the HP Officejet all-in-one's memory is filled to capacity. To copy in color is only possible from the HP Officejet Manager.
  • Press START to clear the message. If this message persists, unplug the power cord, and after at least 15 seconds plug the power cord in.
CAUSE: The HP Officejet series memory may be full due to: Copying on Photo quality or sending a group dial, which will use an extensive part of the internal memory's capacity. No paper in the paper supply tray, while receiving a fax. This may result that the data remains in the buffer. Print jam while receiving a fax or copying. The data is still stored in the buffer. System error displayed on the HP Officejet display window. SUMMARY: The HP Officejet series will not fax or copy without sufficient memory to store the data of the page in the buffer before printing the receiving fax or the copy.

It will not send out a volume of faxes any more.Says memory full.

Try turning off and unplugging the machine for a couple of minutes, this should clear the page memory, then power it up and see where you stand.

Hope this is of some help.

The screen keeps on showing " memory full".

Hi,
I can advise you on the 'memory full' problem, mate.

If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning the first page of a fax, press Stop to cancel the scan. If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning in a subsequent page, you’ll have the option to press Start to transmit the pages scanned
so far, or to press Stop to cancel the operation. In this case, send the fax by the Manual Transmission.
Depending on your typical faxes, MEMORY FULL errors can occur frequently. If this happens, change the Memory Transmission setting back to OFF.
To do this:

Press Function/Set, 3, 9.
This should take you to MEMORY TX
and MEMORY TX: ON?
Then press either the left or the right arrow (< or >) to switch on or off, and press Function/Set.
For the next fax transmission only, press < or > to select
NEXT FAX ONLY and press Function/Set.

This will mean you don't add any more to the memory and may be able to send faxes. There is a possibility that you will only be able to fax using manual transmission, but at least you should be able to use the machine to fax at all!

I apologise if the jargon is confusing, just try to go through the process one step at a time and you should be fine.

Hope this helps :)

UX-B800SE Fax

I had the same "Full Memory" problem & called Sharp. You need to unplug the fax, then hold (press down) on both the "Start/Memory" & the "Stop" buttons at the same time. While holding them down, plug the fax back in. After it's plugged in, you may need to press the start button again. That should clear it.

Memory full

Have you tried to clear any faxes in memory? According to the user's manual this unit automatically stores sent faxes in memory. You can turn this feature off. I will have to say that the manual that user friendly or useful. It sends you from 1 section to the next without much additional help. Do you still have the manual ?, if not it's available on their website.

Good luck!
