Polaroid FLU-2632 LCD TV full HD 2 HDMI problem

Hello, I have a Polaroid FLU-2632 full HD 2 HDMI sockets.
I have connected a DVD HDMI player Via the HDMI cable

It will not display a picture on the TV. I have tried 2 different DVD players one a blueray and the other a DVD upscalling player via the HDMI sockects.

This TV is full 1080 HD ready and whatever I do It doesn't seem to work. I can only get a picture when I connect via the YPbPr but this is no good as is its not a Hi Def picture

Could anyone please advise, its driving me nuts

Thank You in advance.

You could try pressing the source button on the remote to see if that brings it up.

Also the TV may have got itself in a muddle. There will be a way to reset it to factory setting. If you can get into the TV's setup menu there ought to be an option buried somewhere to do that.

How can I connect my dvd player to a Philips 32PFL5605H/05 32-inch Widescreen Full HD LED TV ? It is of the type which has one red, one yellow, and one white connector but i do not see any sockets that...

The included cable with the red, yellow and white RCA connectors is a composite A/V cable. To connect this cable to the TV, you need a SCART-cinch adapter. Then use one of the SCART connections on the TV. Note: the SCART connection does not handle HD signal.

You will get a much better picture if you buy a different cable. Depending on your DVD player, get either an HDMI cable or a pair of cables - a component video and audio cable. (Both component and the audio cable will have RCA plugs at each end. The component video has 3 plugs - red, blue and green. The audio will have 2 plugs - white and red.) Both of these will carry HD signals. Most DVD players will have at least component video and composite video jacks; some have the HDMI output. Most DVD/VCR combinations will need the composite video for the VCR and the component video is optional for the DVD signal.

I hope this helps.

Hello, you probably already have gotten this resolved, but I do have some answers to your post. Any cable that you have running from TV1 to the TV2 will nor give you a true HD picture. You could get a CAT5 cable with HDMI ends, but the longer the cable, the less true HD you have. The best resolution to this is to get an additional receiver, or to just stick with the SD picture. I can't get tv to send sound to sound system

Having browsed the user manual I wonder if you plugged in the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System while the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv was powered down via the optical cable .
Then powered up the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System first and then powered up the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv
Maybe the Polaroid FLM-2632 TV has to detect that the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System is connected and powered up when the Polaroid FLM-2632 powers up. To activate its digital audio out ????
The note part about only being available only under HDTV (cable/air) mode. Might be the cause of your hassle also ?

How do i hook my dvd player to my tv? i have no manual to show me where to plug the wires into the back of my tv.i have a proscan 32LB30Q LCD

Hello pebbles12137,

This depends on what you want to do SD or HD

First if you just want to connect for SD only

Here are Three ways:

1) connect the coaxial cable to the DVD player F-connector (sliver screw connector) and the to the TV's Antenna in F-connector.

2) connect the yellow, red and white RCA connector end wires to the yellow, red, and white RCA Jacks of the TV Yellow (video in), Red (Right Audio in), White (Left Audio in) do the same for the other end into the DVD player (Best SD Method)

3) connect the svideo cable into the s-video socket of the TV and the other end to the s-video socket of the DVD player

For HD, Here are the connection methods:

1) Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI in of the TV (HDMI1)and the other end of the HDMI cable into the DVD player. (best HD method)

2) connect the Component video cable (RGB) into the RGB sockets of the TV (should be marked as Component 1) and connect the other end to the DVD player (using this method you will have to connect the Red and White audio cables to the audio input jacks of the TV from the audio out of the DVD player)

These are the SD and HD methods.

I would suggest using the HDMI cables only, its the best choice and the simplest.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

No sound

Are you using a set of sound wires in addition to the HDMI cable? - HDMI only carries the HD Video and no audio, so you still need either a digital or audio cable to pass the audio to the set.
