The paper is loaded into the tray that is centered at the bottom if the front of the printer.
To load paper into the tray you need to:

  • Push the paper guide on the left all the way out - to the left.
  • Place a stack of paper into the tray and alight the paper to the right bar and the back. The paper should be placed into so that the print side is down.
  • Slide the paper guide to the right till it's aligned with the paper.

Hi, my HP 4580 says there is a paper jam, but there doesn't seem to be one! Help???!!!

Sometimes the paper jam is caused by a tiny piece of paper. It can be smaller than a postage stamp, covering the paper sensor. Or it could just need cleaning. Look for very small piece of paper or look on edge of paper guide for small lamp sensor
