Question about Computers & Internet
Hi I have just bought the laptop and I want to change the os to windows xp, but when it starts up windows installer tells me that there is no hard drive.....but the hard drive works fine as it loads linux with no problems.
Can you please help me
Go into the Hardware info or Drive properties and make sure it is recognizing the whole HDD. You can also check if the drive if working correctly when you go into your BIOS. Just go to the Boot Order and make sure the computer sees the drive, then set up the boot order to go from CD-ROM & USB before going to the HDD. If you've done all this and it still doesn't work then you might have to wipe.

I suggest use a wipe program,
it should be simple to delete a non partition but you may not have all he tools needed. a bootable floppy with dos is preferred.
here is a small free program http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,22920-order,1-page,1-c,harddisk/description.html
