No psone games or N64 games work, there is no picture yet the sound is crystal clear, its not the cables, they work fine, it has somehting to do with the resolution I gather from the older technology to the newer TV, because ps2, xbox and xbox360 all work. I am wondering what cables i could try to convert the image to work, I have already tried s-video and an RF direct cable hookup.

There are video's on YouTube about dark video output for PS 1 consoles and how to repair dark video output. It could be that modern TV's do not support the old consoles so try a CRT style TV or try new hook up cables for your PS 1 console.
1.) Check if its the same c.d. you are playing with... If it is the same one... Play a different c.d.
2.) You may have some loose connections within your psp.
3.) A bad power cable or power supply may contribute to the restrart of your psone console.
well ur ps2 memory card should work for psx ones, im sure of that,
doesnt mean all will work but i say maybe try getiing a psone memoery card and using that but gosh i know for sure that a ps2 memory card should work for the psone game,
if you need halp finding a psone memory you can search ebay and get one real cheap, or i could just send you an extra one i have lol

Audio & Video cable should be check if there is a display... 3.) Bad lens... Have your lens be cleaned by a lens cleaner...
this is a problem in your memory card,talk to any technician and ask him the problem,if he tell you that this memory card will not work you have to buy a new mwmory card
If you go to "Game" on the settings menu when the PS3 starts up, simply create a new internal memory card, after doing so, assaign the memory card to a slot by pressing triangle. Then you should be able to save PSone games
