I have a 36 rca entertainment series tv. I can't figure out how to unblock front panel. I don't know the password to disconnect the parental control.

If you forgot your password for this feature, press the following buttons on the remote, one at a time. (Note: You must be in the password entry screen) Press, Mute, Display,Clear and Reset, this unlocks parental controls and you can now re-enter a new password.
OR TRY THIS..
Press and hold Menu on the TV AND volume down on the remote for 3 seconds. Nothing will appear on the screen, and the Parental Controls will unlock, and you can re-enter a new password with the LOCK PARENTAL CONTROLS

Try this: Simultaneously Press The Vol+ On The Remote And The Ch+ Button On The Front Of The Tv. See If The Display
Will Appear For You To Enter Your New Password.

plug in your model number and look at the picture of the original remote for this unit and tell me if it's the same...

Next thing is then to figure out if the remote is actually sending an infrared signal. Do you have a local radio shack and might they have an infrared card or sensor you could use? If not do you have a video camera or web cam on your computer? If you do bring up an image you can look at on one of these and point the remote at the cam lens and start pressing the buttons. This will slow the infrared signal to a visable light and you'll be able to see if it's sending signal when each of the buttons are pressed...

ok thank you but i still have a problem. the front panel on the t.v. is locked so i cant hold the menu button. and my remote that came with the t.v. does not have a display or a reset button. can you please help me.
I really dont know if the remote is the original because I got it from the Goodwill. It is a RCA remote and the numbers inside the remote RCR311TBM2.
yes this is the same remote that we have. the channel buttons and the on/off buttons dont work.
