Mintek MDP-1760 The dvd player wont turn on? The green light is on ,when I turn it on .When I open it up ,no dvd spins and the screen remains black.Like its getting no power to it or something? Can you help please?

    I have same problem. Also I do not have a battery, do I need one?

    I don't have a battery only an adapter for the dvd. The power /charge light comes on when you switch the power on, but nothing else happens. No spin up of the disc or screen light up or display. None of the buttons do anything. Help, I'm lost up a river without a paddle.

Does it have a lock button like an Ipod? A small awitch somewhere that disables all controls? You might also check the poinjt where the AC/DC adapter plugs in, there may be a switch that chooses the battery or input power.

Brand new about 65 to 70 bucks.Used worth about 50 to 55 bucks,in good cosmatics condition though,not worth less like 45 to 50 bucks.
