Hello,
I bought a few weeks ago iCopyExpert to put my ipod (classic)music and play list into my computer.
I have 9980 songs in my ipod to copy, all the process star OK, but when the icopyExpert begins to transfer the music to my itunes (after I already disconnected my ipod, as the program says I should do) in middle of the procedure (after 3500 - 4000 songs have been copied to my itunes) a screen window emerge saying: "access violation at address 004CBB17 in module 'iPodCopy.exe.' Read of address 00000000", and stop the copy process.
Please, can you tell me what I have to do to copy all my music passing up the message?
I will really appreciate any advice to solve this problem and finally get all my music in my VAIO PC.

While in the folder of the iPod accessed from "My Computer", go to the menu bar and go to Tools--->Folder options while in a folder and make sure that "Show hidden files" is checked. If it is not, check it and apply the changes. On some models of the iPod, the music directory for the music is hidden.

If the above does not work, you can try the program "iFunBox". It is a file program for the iPod Touch and iPod Phone, but may also work for the 5th Gen Nano since they were made close to the same time period, assuming the file setup and compatibility is similar.

Have a great day!

How do i get movies from a dvd to my ipod nano

You need an iPod converter software. These are available throughout the web. I would check out DVD FAB. You can try the Beta version 8QT for free for one month. The software is very straight forward. It has multiple formats for multiple devices. Check it out for free and then decide if you want to use it. Or download the beta version for a month and compress as many movies as you can in thirty days. hope this helps

Apple iPod is Locked

There is only one way - and it will erase all your songs (applies to most models, not just Nano):

If you lock your iPod nano screen and can’t unlock it
Normally, if you can connect your iPod nano to the computer it is authorized to work with, your iPod nano automatically unlocks. If the computer authorized to work with your iPod nano is unavailable, you can connect iPod nano to another computer and use iPod Updater to restore your iPod software. See the next section for more information.
If you want to change the screen lock combination and you can’t remember the current combination, you must restore the iPod software, and then set a new combination.
Updating and Restoring iPod Software
You can use iPod Updater to update or restore your iPod software. Apple periodically
updates iPod software to improve performance or add features. It is recommended that
you update your iPod nano to use the latest software. You can also restore the software,
which puts iPod nano back in its original state.
- If you choose to update, the software is updated, but your settings and songs are not
affected.
- If you choose to restore, all data is erased from your iPod nano, including songs, files,
contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. All iPod nano settings are
restored to their original state.
To update or restore iPod nano with the latest software:
1 Go to www.apple.com/support/ipod and download the latest iPod Update. The update
has the latest software for all models of iPod.
2 Double-click the software installation file and follow the onscreen instructions to install
the iPod update.
3 Connect iPod nano to your computer and open iTunes. The iPod Updater application
opens.
If you’re using a Windows PC and the iPod Updater application doesn’t open
automatically, you can find the updater by choosing Start > All Programs > iPod.
4 Follow the onscreen instructions to update or restore iPod software.
If you use the iPod Updater application and it doesn’t recognize that iPod nano is
connected to your computer, reset iPod nano (see page 45).
If you want to restore iPod software and you don’t have an Internet connection, you
can use the iPod Updater application that was installed on your computer when you
installed the software from the iPod CD.

How can I use iTunes to put photos on iPod nano?

"You can easily copy images from your computer to the iPod nano using photo sync in iTunes. Please note that you cannot import photos into iPod nano directly from a digital camera or media reader. If you connect an Apple iPod Camera Connector or Belkin Media Reader for iPod w/Dock Connector to iPod nano, you'll get a message on your iPod screen that says, ""The currently attached accessory is not supported by this iPod."" If you connect a Belkin Digital Camera Link for iPod w/ Dock Connector to iPod nano, you'll see a ""Do not disconnect"" message briefly, then the main iPod menu appears. For information on other iPod accessories that don't work with iPod nano, Some accessories that work with other iPod models won't work with iPod nano. Here are some items to note and the affected accessories: Photo Import iPod nano cannot import photos from an accessory (use iTunes to copy photos to iPod nano). It will not work with third-party card readers or with the Apple Camera Connector. If you connect such a device, you'll see an error message that displays for about a minute and reads, ?The currently attached accessory is not supported by this iPod.? Voice Recorders (Microphones) Like iPod mini, iPod nano does not work with third-party voice recorders. Apple iPod Remote Because iPod nano does not have a remote port, it won't work with any accessory that requires it, such as Apple iPod Remote. Headphones Port Location The headphones port on iPod nano is located on the bottom, therefore, it won't work with any third-party accessory that requires that this port be located on the top. No Video Out iPod nano does not support video out through the dock connector or the headphone port. iPod nano is not compatible with the Apple iPod AV Cable designed for iPod with color display (and iPod photo). If you need to use any of the above devices, you'll need to use an iPod model that supports the accessory. "
