I have a KLH 700watt home theater reciever that wont stay on!!

I have a KLH 700watt home theater reciever that works when it wants to! It will work great for awhile then the speakers make a loud pop and it shuts it self off. sometimes I can turn it back on then in about 10 min. it does it again!! Its like there is a little bug in it crawling around on the wires, Its only 4 years old! Can someone help me????

Sounds like it is overheating. Try one or all of the following:

Remove anything that may be stored on top of it. Unblock the vents.

Connect speakers with a higher sensitivity rating.

Move it to an area where it has more airflow around it, ie; not in a closet or cabinet.

Disable any bass-boost and equalization, or tone controls.

Set any crossover settings for any subwoofer you may have connected, to a higher frequency.

Decrease your listening volume.

Volume won't turn down on the device using the dial.

It's not connected correctly to the amplifier or receiver - check you connections. Or, the volume control is bad in the system. Does the remote control volume work?

When i watch dish network my theater system wont work ,only if i watch dvd it works

I run my s video from the dish reciever to the tv/satillite s video input and the digital audio to the digital audio input on my reciever. The reciever is a sony V333ES and have no problems at all.

Audio system turns off

Wires are touching somewhere (speaker wires)... Usually, the wires neg. and positive wires running to one speaker are touching... The receiver automatically detects this and emergently powers off...

Only thing I could think of is check your Pscan on your players make sure the correct setting is set for Progessive Scan and the other thing is a common Did you check the cables ??

Is sub out turned on on the reciever? Some have a setting that doesnt use the sub out, like 2 channel.

you may have a blown fuse. check that first. Very if it still has a power.
