You don't have to rename anything.
The player doesn't accept removing of music, or formatting, when it is not done from SonicStage, the software that sony offers with it.
The software can be downloaded here. When you've installed the software, format the player from the menu. Then transfer your music with this program.

Can i get the steps to load music files on to my iriver please i can find a way to down load my music

It's a fairly simple process. First, download and save your songs of choice in a folder you can remember and access easily. Secondly, plug in the iriver (or any mp3, really). My iriver has "power only, power and play and power and data" options. I think you have to select the "power and data". If done correctly, the mp3 screen will have something like "USB connected". Now open "my computers". Find and copy desired songs. Now go back to my computers and open the iriver folder (I think it's in removable storage, I'm not quite sure). Get to the music folder (can't remember what it's called) and paste your songs. Eject hardware, unplug, done!

PS: This is for Windows only.

RCA PEARL folder name

My brother has a PEARL MP3 player.

He says that you do not need to put the music in a specific folder. Also, you don't need to use a special software.

You just have to use it as you would do with any USB drive: you just need to put your MP3 files at the root of the drive.

However, if you want your music collection to be more tidy, you may create folders and give them the name of the album. It will then display the folders on your MP3 player in alphabetical order.

I don't think you can have subfolders in your folders, however, but my borther isn't sure. You may try, but I doubt it'll work...

I hope it'll help you!

How do i possibly backup the data and format my trutech mp3 player

This is a general procedure - I couldn't find any documentation for any TruTech Mp3 Players. Connect your Trutech to the computer. Double-click My Computer. Double-click the icon of the Trutech. Open the music folder. Create a new folder on your desktop, and call it something like "temporary mp3 storage." Drag the music file from the music folder fo the mp3 player to the new folder that you have just created on your desktop.

Hope that helps.

Removing music

Plug your mp3 player into the computer using a USB cable. Make sure you only have the one MP3 player plugged in, and no flash drives or cameras, etc.

There may be a button on your MP3 player that sets the mode to MTP or USB or Ready Mode. Make sure the setting is at MTP.

Open My Computer from the start menu. There should be a list of drives and document folders. You should see a drive labeled "removable storage" or "_____-Audio Player", (_____ may be your name or the name of the mp3 player).

Double click that drive. You may now see something to the effect of "SD/MMC Card" and or "Audio Player" or the name of your MP3 Player. You may also see files that say "Music" or even the music files themselves.

Double click on "Audio Player" if you do not have music on your SD/MMC Card (or if you just don't have one in your MP3 player).

If there is no "Audio Player" file, click on "Music" or the next best looking folder (it won't harm your computer or MP3 player if you look in all the folders). This should open up into Music files or a folder labeled Music. Double click this folder. Inside you should see all the music (or videos) that is on the MP3 player. Delete the music folders and files, but be careful not to delete anything else. The folders should be labeled by Artists, then Albums, then finally the actual music files. Delete all the Artists, albums, etc, to remove the music.

If you can't find the music files using my instructions, look in the folders of your MP3 player until you find them. Also, remember to have your MP3 player set to MTP mode if it is available.

Hope this helps.

Dont know how to set up my daughters mp34 player please help

To put music on the player from your computer:
Connect the player to your pc with the USB-cable.
Go to My Computer on your pc and go to the player, which will be called 'MP-C7085' or something. you'll see two folders: Data and Media.
Copy music to the media folder, as the data folder is accessible only from computers, not from the player itself.

Hope this helps,

I STUFFED IT UP

Many times, MP3 players will play music from an "Audio" folder. Try naming the folder "Audio".

I Dont know how to insert music into my player

I usually copy all my stuff to the root directory (the one that comes right after you clicked on the sansa icon in MY COMPUTER). If it still doesn't work maybe your USB port is damaged try the other one. Another option which I always recommend is to format the sansa by right clicking on its icon on MY COMPUTER and choosing Format. Let me know if it helped.
