Recharging I would like to know if this unit has a ac addaptor for charging as I don't always have a computer available.

At the very least, it sounds like your AC has lost part of the freon charge. I'd start with recharging it.

The UT number for this generator is UT-03559. The problem is like yours can't find anything online in the line parts or owners manuals for this unit. You may try http://www.ktoutdoor.com/
They were listing this number. doesn't mean they have anything on it but might be worth a try.

Here is alternate idea on recharging the battery use a 12 dc ac adapter for recharging while the unit is in use.

Before the first use, the unit must be charged for 24 hours with a connection to an AC outlet (120V). Make sure that all of the switches are off. After that, stop charging when two red and one green LED Battery Status Indicators light.

If you are recharging the unit from a 12V battery, do not charge for more than 6 hours. (Check for a full charge by disconnecting the DC charging adapter and then press the Battery Power Level button.)

Recharging the battery is done by connecting the nuvi to a vehicle power cable in the car through the vehicle power accessory outlet or cigarette lighter.
The unit can also be charged via a powered USB port off your computer via the USB power/data cable or an AC power adapter through the USB power/data cable.

You should have received either an AC adapter or a USB cable with the unit to use for recharging your battery. The AC adapter would just plug into the wall socket and then into your unit. The USB cable would be connected to your computer while it was running and then the other end would fit the GPS. This will also charge your unit. If you do not have either of these cables you should be able to go to your local Best Buy, Circuit City, or even a Walmart, and you will be able to purchase at least a USB cable that will charge your unit. There are adapters out now that will plug into the wall and then plug into the USB port on the GPS for charging purposes.

The camera should have came with either an Ac-adapter or a USB cable to charge the battery. Plugging the camera into your computer and letting it sit will charge the battery if it didn't come with an ac-adapter.

Also, if it takes disposable batteries, you may want to invest into one of the recharging kits and rechargeable batteries.

Do not interrupt the battery recalibration process. If recalibration is interrupted, you must start the process over again.

1. Close all open files and programs.
   
2. Connect your notebook to AC power and allow the battery to completely charge.
   
3. Disconnect the AC power and restart your notebook.Note: If the power cord or battery icon does not appear on the taskbar, click the show hidden icons button. If the icon still does not appear, verify thatAlways show icon on the taskbar is checked on the Power Options Properties Advanced tab.
   
   
4. Completely discharge the battery by doing the following:
   
   
   1. From the desktop, right-click on the power icon, then select Adjust Power Properties.
   2. Click the Power Schemes tab.
   3. Click the arrow button to open the Power Schemes list, then click Always On.
   4. Click the Alarms tab.
   5. Click to remove the check mark from the Low battery alarm and Critical battery alarm checkboxes. Let the battery drain until your notebook automatically turns off.
   
   
5. After the battery is completely drained, reconnect your notebook to AC power.
   
6. Charge the battery completely until the yellow battery status indicator goes out.
   
7. When you are ready to use your notebook again, do the following:
   
   
   1. From the desktop, right-click on the power icon, then select Adjust Power Properties.
   2. Click the Power Schemes tab.
   3. Click the arrow button to open the Power Schemes list, then click Always On.
   4. Click the Alarms tab.
   5. Click to select the Low battery alarm and Critical battery alarm check boxes.

apparently this is a common problem on these models. You may need a new AC Socket - you can buy oin ebay, but you have to take the motherboard out to fit it. If you wiggle the plug gently to get it connected it may work. If its jammed up - you might try taking out the bios battery on the motherboard to reset - it worked on mine.
