GE oven all display lights are on and oven doesn't work

I have a GE oven model number JRS04BW. Recently, all of the lights on the electronic display are lit up and the oven does not work. I am trying to find out if this is something I can fix myself. I have turned the breaker off and then back on hoping that would reset the oven, but the display lights continue to stay on and the oven does not work.

The problem may very well be in one of the micro switches on the self cleaning motor bracket. These switches control the electrical flow to the heating elements. In the owners manual there is/should be a chart that lists the unlock and safety combinations. This would be your best source of information.

SOURCE: 326B1230P001 GE Double oven that displays ?F7? and beeps

I have a GE JT950 double oven that just did the same thing: F7 and beeps like crazy. I found solution on another post: an engineer figured out how to solve the issue without calling GE or buying parts. I just did it tonight and it worked fine. Here is a copy of the post:

Send an e-mail to Charlie at [email protected] for a fix-it that you can try. He explains a possible solution fully with his 'The Dreaded "F7" Error' solution. I actually found his information on another website when I did a web search for "GE Profile Oven F7 Issue". I sent an e-mail to him and he replied with free fix-it information. I am not a repair person myself, but, his instructions are very clear and simple to follow. I did the fix-it at no cost in approximately 10 minutes and it has solved my problem

I recently ran the self-clean option on my GE Profile JK955B0F5BB. Now when I set the touch pad to 350 degrees or more, the oven heats up to beyond 500.

That is not a valid model number, the issue is most likely the thermostat has failed. The part is about 12 dollars.

Whirlpool double oven display reads E6 F2

I have a Whirlpool RBD275PRT00 that showed the same codes. it would allow me to cancel and work for a few more days until the display finally went blank and after a few days of being blank displayed the codes again. I ordered a New Electronic control board from Sears W10340941 for 189 dollars just recently, when I just looked for this part for your model it's that same number but now listed for 254. There are services that will repair your board for a little less but it will not be a new board. it's still much cheaper that a new oven.

Oven display is blank and oven light does not come on

90% of the time this will be the main control board if neither of the displays work. Here is that board to order.

All parts come with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

Our 17year old GE gas oven/broiler stopped lighting today. What might be the problem? Stove burners work.

Most likely culprit is the igniter.
When you turn the oven on it opens a gas valve allowing a small amount of gas to flow thru the pilot light. The igniter then lights the pilot and when the sensor determines the pilot is lit it opens th emain gas valve and the oven lights. If the igniter fails and doesn't light the pilot the sensor doesn't heat up and it shuts down the pilot and nothing works.
The igniter is usually accessable under the oven by removing the drawer. It has a single wire attached and looks like a short cigarette made of ceramic witha metal tip.
You didn't provide model number so I can't give you part number but if you look it up here you may be able to get one from Sears

My GE wall Oven Model #jctp18ba1bb is not working.the board is blankm the only thing that works is the oven light. Is there any kind of thermal fuses etc. in this oven.thge control board was replaced 8...

When you say board I assume you mean the electronic clock/timer. This timer directly affects the oven operation. Even if the internal oven fuse is blown or the thermal overload is tripped the electronic timer and oven light will always work. If the oven light works and the electronic timer/clock does not I'd say that the timer/clock is faulty.

Display doesn't work, but oven works

First turn the electricity off by locating the breaker to the oven and turn it off. Now wait for an hour or so and turn the breaker back on, if the display turned back on, you need a control board (other manufatures call it a clock, PCB or ECC but it's the main elctronic board with the diaplay built in). If it didn't come back on, turn the power off again and make sure all the wire harness's going to the board are connected good. Turn the power back on and it the display still doesn;t come back on you need to replace the main electronic control board. By the way double check the model number and brand because it might be wrong. Please post back.
