Hello, I've got VW Golf 2000 model 1.6L automatic. Noticed it makes loud moaning noise when turning left or right at low speed, also when turning steering wheel on parking. The power steering seems to be the source of the noise, however it works as normal. Is it serious? Thanks for help.

Hello Joe, If the engine has over heated it may have blown the head gasket, you say the engine noise changed and you have power loss, get a mechanic to check it and try not to drive it
Possible. If you have changed tires lately, make sure they put the right size tires on. If they went up in size by any measure, it could be rubbing on the tire well and thus making the noise. Check the users manual if you have it and check to make sure the tire sizes are correct. Also check your power steering fluid. That would make a humming or moaning noise but it would be noticeable while turning.
Is the heater nice and hot when the needle shows low temp? If the cooling fans turn on and the heater is hot, that leads me to believe the coolant temperature sensor is bad. You should try replacing that sensor. They are only $6 usd here. As long as your check engine light is not on and your fans are running, this will not hurt your car... but this is something you should fix soon if you can. Make sure the engine is cold when you replace the sensor
The probably lubed the intermediat shaft conenction. The loud poping noise could be from them not sitting the boot back correctly. Inspect your boot. As for the moaning noise Only thing I can think of is a hydraulic noise.
if noise is excessive it may be low in power steering fluid .if this is the case it will make a moaning ,tearing sound.any car with power steering will make some noise when locked fully left or right.
