sounds like the video cable is pinched in the hinges. This was really common with first generation macbook air. iFixit.com has guides for disassembling, but you'll quite likely need a new video cable.
it seems as if the video driver is bad.if you can connect another monitor to your laptop externally see if the problem still exist if it does try to boot up in safe mode with network assist and look at the video card in the device manager.check out display in the control panel in vista check out personalization and try to adjust the display.in XP look at display in the control panel.
Hi ravi_kuma108 i have the same problem you described in a similar laptop. did you find a solution or clue about it? I only can guess its a bottom flex-cable connector or top flex-cable connector problem. If you had something you can share i will be apreciated.
