Packard Bell laptop switch off when closing the lead (instead of hibernate).Any ideas how can be fixed? Thank you
right click anywhere on an empty space on desktop and click on properties in the menu ( or go to control panel and double click on display).
Now in the display property windows click on screen saver and then click on power at the bottom right.
you will then get the power schemes option where you can change the settings for hibernation , standby etc, adjust it such that your system never hibernates automatically.

Thanks,
Which windows would you be using? Your power settings in your control panel can be adjusted to correct this issue. Depending on which Windows you have the fix is a little different in each.
