Free SMS software developer

Like Gnokii, Gammu is a free and open source command line tool that can be used to send and receive SMS messages from a computer via a mobile phone or GSM modem. Gammu was started based on Gnokii's experience but it evolves independently. Besides sending and receiving SMS messages, Gammu can be used to perform many different tasks such as reading and writing entries of the phone book and calendar, handling logos, loading ring tones, managing bookmarks, changing WAP settings, making data calls, etc.
Gammu supports mobile phones that can work in AT command mode. Like Gnokii, Gammu supports lots of Nokia mobile phones, even some of those that use Nokia's proprietary protocol instead of AT commands for communicating with a computer. A list of the mobile phones and GSM modems supported can be found on Gammu's web site.
If you are not an SMS software developer, you may want to use Wammu instead of the command-line Gammu. Wammu is a program developed with wxPython. It provides a good-looking and intuitive GUI, which is easier to use than Gammu. Some screenshots of Wammu can be found at here.
If you are an SMS software developer and want to write a program to send and receive SMS messages from a computer via a mobile phone or GSM modem, you may find Gammu useful. By making use of the functions of Gammu, you do not need to learn about AT commands in order to control the mobile phone or GSM modem. It is easy to write a script or program to drive the command-line Gammu in the background. Another choice is to use LibGammu, the back-end library that provides basic functions to Gammu.
In addition, you can find two pieces of software, Python-Gammu and Gammu+, on Gammu's web site. Python-Gammu is a Python module that allows software developers to get access to Gammu's functions in Python scripts. Gammu+ is a C++ version of Gammu. Gammu+ and Gammu are released under different licenses.

my nokia 3110c mobile is getting hanged if i am opening contacts...and also cant see missed calls or received calls..calculaor has stoped workin..pls help me

HI there,
This problem comes when phone memory is full, Please delete or move any pictures or videos you have saved in phone memory to memory card, or external source via connecting to PC. Other possibility is that you have so many sms messages in your inbox, and normally when you switch on your cellphone, it will take around 15 to 20 minutes to load sms memory, and when you try to open inbox, It gives you error that memory not ready, Solution: Remove the sim card, and switch on the phone, wait until it fully initializes and takes phone memory intact, like when you are able to open sms messages, For checking free space in phone, Open Messages Go to options, > Memory status, it will show you the Total memory status of your phone, including free space, If you require your sms, take a backup on computer, via connecting your phone to Nokia PC Suite, and delete all unnecessary items in phone memory including SMS, in this phone there is a limitation of sms moving to memory card, so frree up space in phone memory and restart once, and you should be able to use phone features without any problem,
If you require more assistance, feel free to reply to this post,
Thanks for contacting FixYa!

want to print text messages from cell phone

Try sending any test messages to your email address using your cellphone. Then you can print anything using the email's Print operation. The more expensive alternative is to buy the cellphone's cable-to-USB for your model cellphone.

If your phone has bluetooth, send the text to your computer via bluetooth, then use your printer to print them, if you have a bluetooth enabled printer just send them straight to that, or if you don't have bluetooth at all, use a usb cable to connect to your computer.

To access the phone's SMS messages, just click the SMS entry on the left side of the PhoneView window. You can copy individual messages, Command-click to copy several messages (helpful when you want to copy just those messages that are part of a particular conversation), or copy all messages by selecting one message, pressing Command-A to select them all, and clicking the Copy From mobile phone button at the top of the window.

i can't receive and send a message by using pc suite

hello there!! thanks for using Fixya.com!

I guess these requirements will help you...

Requirements
To send and receive SMS messages via a mobile phone using a Windows PC, you need:
  • a mobile phone that can be connected to your PC (some mobile phones do not have an interface for connecting to a PC)
  • a Windows program that can control the mobile phone to send and receive SMS messages
Today, most mobile phones support at least one of the following options to connect to a PC:
  • Via infrared (IrDA)
  • Via Bluetooth
  • Via a USB cable
  • Via a serial cable
The infrared and Bluetooth option should be very useful to many notebook computer users since nowadays many notebook computers have built-in infrared or Bluetooth support.
The Windows program for sending and receiving SMS messages is provided by some mobile phone manufacturers. For example, Nokia offers a software package called Nokia PC Suite to their mobile phone users. It can be downloaded free of charge from Nokia's web site. Microsoft has also released a free program called SMS Sender that enables Windows users to send SMS messages via a GSM mobile phone from a PC.
In the following sections, we will explain how to use Microsoft SMS Sender to send SMS messages on your Windows PC.

Hope this will help you..have a nice day! Or try to reinstall the CD (pc suite) on your laptop or pc, this will make it very helpful as well.
