Try 2 (CR1/3N) however any drug store should have these common batteries. try a cross reference chart any place that sells batteries.

The Konica Minolta Maxxum QTsi is a nice SLR camera that can accept a wide range of 35mm films. You can buy 35mm films from Kodak, Fujifilm and many other companies.

I was just given a minolta maxxum 5 with no manual can i get a manual free?

You can download it for free. Its a pdf file so you will also need a version of Adobe Reader which you can also get free at the Adobe website. Here's the website address for your Maxxum 5 manual.
http://ca.konicaminolta.com/support/manuals/film-cameras/film_af_slr/index.html

If that does not work, look up Konica Minolta in a web search. Click on the Konica Minolta Canada. In the lower right of the screen click on info about cameras, then find your way to the manuals.

Then add fresh CR2 batteries, film and go play!!!

Film advance

In most film cameras, a battery is not necessary to manual advance film using the lever. Your Canon AV-1 is no exception. I have owned two cameras from the same group, the AE-1 and the Canon A-1. Neither required a battery for manual film advance.

Make sure the ring around the shutter release button is set to "A", otherwise the shutter won't release and the film lever won't work correctly. If the ring shows an "L", the shutter release is locked.

Here's a graphic of the batteries that can be used in your AV-1:

Should I Repair My Konica FC-1?

A Konica FC-1 or A3 with a 50mm lens typically sells for $75 or less on E-bay. Get an estimate from a camera repair man. If it is cheaper to buy a "new" camera, go to E-bay or Craig's list. By the way, Konica is a mid-grade camera. For the same money, you should consider a top rated Nikon or Cannon.

Konica Revio Z2

This is an ASP film camera. Film is no longer made, there is outdated film available, but there is no guarantee it is good. There are only 2 places that will process the film in the US anymore.
I would get another film camera.

Blank film

I had the same problem. I think I finally figured it out. My problem was that the Shutter was in lock mode. In the manual book there is a section called "Shutter Lock." How to get it unlocked: While pressing the drive mode button (1), turn the camer on with the function dial (2); the data panel displays the status of the shutter lock. If it says "lock", you will need to do this process again to get it unlocked.

To find out where the buttons are, you will need to look in your manual -- page 53.

Hope this corrects your problem.
