I need to find drivers for Lamaqq 56k v.90 SGS External USB Data/Fax Modem. I have windows 7 Toshiba laptop

drivers for devices that are not present. If you want to use the modem,
turn it on before powering up the PC.

Also please post the full version number of your driver. Not all of them are fully 7 compatible.

Your fax modem is not supported by Windows 7

turn on the pc. then put the cd in the drive. now just plug-in the modem the system will detect it and ask for the drivers then say automatic! and it will automatically get installed!
or else
u can go to control panel-> phones and modems-> modems tab and then click add the system will guide u through the installation!!

1. Power off the modem. 2.Restart your computer. Allow the system to stabilise and switch on the modem after about 10mins. Check for connection. If nothing happened after all this, then go to Device Manager and scroll down to Modem. Click the plus sign and lookup for that particular make. It may be disabled. If disabled, simply right click and select Enable and wait for about 5mins to login. Good luck

I am presuming that you are referring to the built-in modem of China made mobile phone such as a Kaiqi.

Alternately, you need to install the USB drivers supposedly saved in the phone memory when shipped from the factory. Likewise saved is a copy of PhoneSuite which must be copied/installed in your PC. This solution was actually posted elsewhere here in FixYa by monir.
