    SOURCE: Incorrect "Cover open" indication

    Hi, the cover sensor may have gotten stuck. So, even though the cover is closed, it's still sensing that it's open. Here's a link on what you can do to remedy the problem. http://bit.ly/9UYvzL . Hope this helps

    Problem is simple, your system having sensor which indicating that cover is not closed. uncover it once and check sensor push button may be not connection well. recover casing and ensure its not loose.

    Step one: Remove the cartridges
    1. Make sure that the product is turned on and then disconnect the USB cable from the back of the product.
    2. Open the product cover and remove the cartridges.
    3. Close the cover and wait for a message to insert the cartridges to appear on the control panel display.
    4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
    5. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and wait for one minute.
    Step two: Reinstall the cartridges
    1. Reconnect the power cord to the wall, reconnect the other end of the power cord to the product, and then turn on the product if it is not already on.
    2. Open the product cover and reinstall the cartridges.
    3. Close the cover and print a calibration page, if prompted.
    4. Print a self test report to make sure that the product can print.
    5. Reconnect the USB cable between the product and the computer.
    6. Try to print a document from an application on the computer.
