My Toshiba 72HM195 72 in. HDTV powers on but no picture comes up, but it has sound and wants to turn back on after turning power off

Won't shut off ah, sounds like a Toyota, you can't stop those either, if you are getting flashing green or red lights your lamp is burnt out, time to replace.

TV has sound but no picture

It is possible one of the internal fuses blew out.
It could be a bad horizontal outut transistor.
It could be a bad secondary of the power supply went bad
And many other things.
If it's just a fuse, it won't cost much, but a lot of them do not look like you would expect a fuse to look like.It might be a little yellow, green, or gray rectangualar box shaped part. :D

Toshiba 52Hmx94

How many times does it blink?
I replaced the ballast in my 62HM84 and it fixed it. The problem was TV would not turn On, Red light solid green light blinked 9 times then TV would try to restart. At first I thought it might of been the bulb, so I replaced it, same results. Next I replaced the ballast which is pretty easy, just take pictures before you remove the light engine so you can go back to the picture to verify the connections when reinstalling.
