There should be a mini connector (Male) connection to 2 RCA (MALE) Connectors. You just hook the output of computer (Mini) plug to that then hookup your RCA connectors usually white and Red to the transmitter and it should work fine. Try the premium area if you need further assistance. Guru Jay

How can i restore factory setting with my dell desktop xps400 9150 without media dvds

Most newer computer do not include any media disc for the purpose of restoration. This is for a couple reasons first it cuts down on the cost of the computer and second it cut down on piracy or in other words taking those media discs and installing them on another computer.

However Dell as well as many other computer manufactures use another method that will allow you to restore your computer back to the way it came out of the box.
At the end I included a couple links.
The first one is your "Owner's Manual". You can find all these steps in this manual as well.

The second are other documents relating to your xps400.

Good Luck and I hope this helps.

"Happy (insert preference here)" and "Merry New Year"

To restore your PC to factory settings:

Warning: Anything you added to your system after you purchased it will be deleted. The only way to recover those files and programs are to back them up. I would advise you to get some CD/DVDs and back everything up just to be on the safe side.

  1. Turn on you computer. During the boot process, a blue bar with www.dell.com appears at the top of the screen.
  2. Immediately upon seeing the blue bar, press <Ctrl><F11>. (If you do not press <Ctrl><F11> in time, let the computer finish starting, and then restart the computer again). If you do not want to proceed with PC Restore, click Reboot in the following step
  3. On the next screen that appears, click Restore.
  4. On the next screen, click Confirm. The restore process takes approximately 6–10 minutes to complete.
  5. When prompted, click Finish to reboot the computer. NOTE: Do not manually shut down the computer. Click Finish and let the computer completely reboot.
  6. When prompted, click Yes. The computer restarts. Because the computer is restored to its original operating state, the screens that appear, such as the End User License Agreement, are the same ones that appeared the first time the computer was turned on.
  7. Click Next. The System Restore screen appears and the computer restarts.
  8. After the computer restarts, click OK.

Transmitter not working

You can 'pump up' the circuit on the transmitter by pumping the power connector in and out of of the back of the tranmitter to the beat of Beethoven's 5th: da duh duh duh, da duh duh duh, da Duh Duh.

It is a little awkward the first few times you try. You have to get the power connector in far enough each pump that the unit gets a pulse of power. It has to be pumped at the right pace, not too fast, not too slow, the beat of Beethoven's 5th is pretty quick and just right.

I have been powering our WSP155 transmitter unit on at work this way for several months. We originally had 4 sets of these, only using 1 transmitter at a time. 1 transmitter, 8 speakers. Over the course of a year or two, all of the tranmitters went bad the same way and now that I discovered how, I can make them all power on using this method, so I am pretty sure yours will power on this way too.

Problem adding wsp155 wireless speakers.

You must check with the instalation gude for the wireless speaker to see if the connection to the reciver is a high impedence or low impedence... If its like most wireless set-ups its going to be a high impedence output from the reciver to the transmitter part of the speakers. That would be from the RCA jacks in the back of the reciver maked line out or tape out. If you want to use them for a specific speaker output , some recivers have an output jack that would be labeled center sperker out but would be an RCA type jack ect ect. If your reciver dosent have that you can in a higher end audio store get an adaptor to convert the speaker output to a high impedence, But I dont recomend that as some of the adaptors do cause excessive strain on the output section of the amp or reciver.. If you buy a good one though you should be fine.. You get what you pay for.. Good Luck
