    There is no CC172 code in the factory service manual. Could this be a typo? That or you have a code that is not in the manual.

Hi martin_fynn,

I've never heard of that code before
Although, there is a C-B172 which is related to the Fax Option.
The only thing I can suggest is that you turn the machine off at the Main Power Button (not the little one on the side of the control panel).
Give it about 20 seconds then turn it back on again.

Sorry the advice is a bit lame :-(

Have you solved yours problem? I've got the same problem on Develop Ineo+ 253 (aka Konica Minolta Bizhub C253). Service manual doesn't cover this error. Machine hardware has been checked few times, firmware upgrade and downgrade (with HDD memory up/down, too). Nothing helps.

Bizhub 353 c-c172
You meet a Bizhub C-353 with a Code of C-C172, which is a problem that will require tech to look at. It deals with your control board and Non Volatile Memory which houses special info and counter information, it is either bad or the main board, hopefully the tech can come out and re flash the copier software, Or replace NVRAM chip, worse case the main board, he might check all the connectors on the boards for a loose connection or a bad pin, unless you want to that let say 50 connectors, any you might cause more problems worse case the tech say main board need to be replace, you can not get the software for the copier on line. It is located on a secure server at Konica Minolta website for dealerships and KMBS they like to protect there software.
