I have a similar problem my motorola razr has been going into emergency only mode and even when it is not in that mode my calls fail and I cant send or recieve texts. When i leave my house sometimes my phone will work in other areas, but sometimes not -- just depends on where i go. It's because you or somebody already entered too many wrong codes, you
just have to leave the Motorola RAZR V3 ON with the errors message and
after 40 minutes to 2 hours the message "Enter Code Special" will appear
again!

Hello - If the RAZR V3 is a "branded" phone, Verizon, att, etc., there is no way to change it over to your carrier. Look under the phone battery. If there is no SIM card slot, there is no way to change the phone over to your carrie. I would suggest you go to http://www.motorola.com and check out their unlocked phones. They do an excellent job of explaining an unlocked phone.
Try to find "personalize" setting of some kind, and then change the smart key to perform something else, so it doesn't go set silent mode. I am not familiar with your phone, but on RAZR v3 smart key activates camera. However you can change it to do something else. The steps would be different for your phone I assume, but if you need an example of the general steps, there are videos on www.HandBookLive.com under Electronics category on Motorola RAZR v3 and there is a chapter on "Chaging Shortcuts"
Have u dropped ur phone in any liquid or have u connected it to a pc of some sort? When did this start happening and i need for u to be honest with me if u have done anything odd to the phone. Any info can help me resolve ur problem.
