Hi there, we are either after a code for our vauxhall omega, (as the guy who had the car b4 us lost the code) or what will we need ( adapter leads etc) for a new cd player its a r reg btw, if you can help that will be great

You have to contact the manufacturer and give them the serial number of your unit and they should be able to give you the code. That is of course the the code is not prtogramable, in which case you need to find out what the code was.
This is dealer, or authorized service only. In some models, they have to change the EPROM with a new code. Many of the manufactures made their radios in a way that the code is not recoverable. If the dealer can recover the code, then the thiefs may also be able to recover it!
The auto dealers in the area where I live charge about $80 to $120 for a new EPROM in their radios. The price depends on the model.
