IF THE CUSTOMER CONTROLS DO NOTHING THEN YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE SURE THE CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT IS WORKING. THEN YOU WILL NEED THE SERVICE CODE AND THE ORIGINAL REMOTE AND CONVERGENCE ACCESS CODE TO ALIGN IT.
YOU need to have the original Pioneer remote to do this--I do not understand if someone fixed and you had the remote why he did not adjust it?
With the Pioneer remote you go into the customer menu and adjust convergence--most also have a TECH menu for this but you still need the remote and a code to get into this--REMOTES FOR THESE SETS ARE HARD TO FIND AND EXPENSIVE.
Let me know if you have questions--I am here to help.
If this helped you, rate this solution as I do this here for FREE.
many of these sets need the convergence adjusted in the 480 and the 1080 separate-- the set most likely if looks good in 480 needs to be adjusted with the original remote in the 1080 mode.
Whoever charged you 534 got you---if you did it yourself you paid way too much--with 1080 signal--enter convergence mode and try to adjust in customer menu--if 480 is ok---it needs to be adjusted in the hd mode.
Once the board is cracked it is no longer repairable (even if it's a tiny crack that may not appear to interrupt any connections), and you would have to replace the complete board. Any attempt to repair or continue using a cracked board may cause more damage to the entire unit. You can find a replacement digital convergence board for a model # SD-643HD5 from this major Pioneer parts distributor at the following link:
