Ok, I have vista on my computer. My brother accidentally threw away the software to my webcam (the one in the title) right when I un-installed it to try to fix the microphone (it wasn't detecting it). But now I can't get the software. I read on here that you NEED the cd in order to install it. But why would radioshack.com have the software to download if you NEEDED the cd? I went to radioshack.com and got the correct software and now. My computer detects the webcam (the green light stays on) but it won't detect the software. I tried un-installing and reinstalling but it just wasn't working. I think I'm just going to have to buy a new one.
I just uploaded the entire installation cd here: http://d01.megashares.com/index.php?d01=6b830bb. It‘s an image file that you‘ll have to burn to a cd using a program like Nero, Imgburn, or any other program that deals with iso images.
Driver for win7
Check for yellow ( exclamation or question marks ) in your device manager. Sometimes even a lack of those does not indicate a proper installation. The GA cameras seem to be giving fits to many people, but look at this possible driver before giving up on it.

In the device manager section, there is an unknown device installed. You have to update the driver. Choose from those available and select PC VGA Gigaware camera or something like that. Oh. It is PCSohVGA or something like that. It should work!

I am having the same situation in my laptop with VISTA. It detects the web cam and looks for driver, green light is on. But will not work even though the driver is installed with the cd.

Cant find software after moving.
I too have bought the Gigaware PC Camera with Mic and have used the disc to install. The VideoImpression 2 was successful yet the VGA Coms PC Camera cannot be detected when plugged in to any of the three usb ports I have on my laptop. Please help!!!!
same problem pretty much, it worked wonderfully for about a month. I came home the other day and the green light was on. The mic still works fine. There is a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager but I've tried to repair it with both the original software and a download and it still won't work. I even uninstalled/reinstalled the whole program. What can I do?
