Take out the batteries in the main station for at least 5 min. Also, check the batteries on your outside station and make sure that they are new and the same brand, not rechargeables. Make sure that the outside station is reading a temperature and humidity first. Make sure that the outside gauge is close enough to your inside station. Having your inside station to near electrical or metal things or the outside station too far from the inside station is the most likely of your problems. To test this, once you've restarted your inside station, bring it close to the outside station and see if it's reading. Also, check the bottom right to see if your inside station has an antenna icon. If so, it's just updating from the radio station that updates your station often. Wait for that antenna to disappear from the bottom screen before trying to figure if your outside station is reading correctly. Finally, make sure that you have the right time zone, state, and city programmed into your inside station. If none of these work, call or e-mail the link in your book. Hope this works.

My Buick Rendezvous has the DIC. It works fine but the temperature is always 0 celcius (says 0C). Got 2 new outside air sensors from junkyard and no change. Should i check something else like voltage?

It should be possible to test the sensors with an ohmmeter (I think) as they will likely be temperature sensitive resistors or thermistors.

Testing the voltage was the thing to do in the old days of analogue and direct current systems but I think you will find the electronics on your car is digitally based and difficult or impossible to test with an ordinary meter. An oscilloscope will probably be needed...

Outside temperature sensor

The outside air temperature indicator's displayed temperature can be recalibrated. Press and hold the reset select button for 10 seconds . While you continue to hold the button, the display will scroll through temperature settings from +3 to -3. When the desired correction value appears on the display, release the button, and the recalibrated outside air temperature will be displayed. Each time a desired correction value is entered, it replaces the previous value. Give that a try mmkayyy:)

Outside unit not registering temp and humidity to base unit

Uniden EWCI936
To get the outside temperature working again, open the outdoor sensor box carefully loosening the one screw with a screwdriver, insert 3 brand new AA batteries, check phone for outside temperature. If not showing on the phone display, try changing the 'channel' setting, just above the batteries. Be careful not to break the tiny switch. Gently use a smaller flathead screwdriver, if needed. There are 3 settings. Mine worked fine on the first setting. If it is showing on the phone set screens, then, carefully screw the lid back on to the sensor box, and re-insert into the sensor wall holder. I keep mine in a plastic bag on a shelf outside, away from sun, so I can get a true reading day or night. It is always a bit warmer in the sunlight than the true outdoor air temperature. Enjoy

Where to put outside remote

If you have storm windows, put it between the window and the storm window.

Or try just below the overhang of your house.
