You need to download videos from your camera onto your PC. You need to install Image Mixer(included in your CD provided) and launch this program(camera connected either USB or FIREWIRE) and click which connection you are using and your camera must then be detected. If no response at all, update your driver. How? Right click MY COMPUTER, click MANAGE, then DEVICE MANAGER and look for yellow mark(e.g. GR-D73) if there is and update(you will be asked to insert CD) follow the prompt. Remember installing drivers on XP, Hardware must be connected first before doing so. Good Luck
If Your system is OK with all drivers installed, and before the trouble You have recorded to CD any video from Your camera, try to connect the cam with another USB cable. Then try to connect the cam to another usb port, or better to another PC. If the problem persist, the USB of the cam is damaged and must to be repaired in service center.
Best regards.
put it in memory mode and try.if it showing there is no any problem with camera and you pc,because this camera when it is in cassette play back mode it is not supporing with pc.
the drivers are available on jvc.com's archives. The installation manual is also available there. I downloaded them 03/08/2008. The key to the installation is to run thru it 4 times. That's right, the manual tells you that this will happen. Without the manual i thought something was wrong when it seemed to roll back to the 'New hardware detected' message. Stick with it and run thru it and after the 4th time ImageMaker will see the camera.
