It looks as though the video chip, which also works the contrast may have went bad. I would say you may be in need of a new chip to correct the problem. Good Luck.

After the dvd plays for like 10-15 minutes(when dvd player warms up?) all the colors on the screen turn to black, yellow and purple for the rest of the movie. What's wrong?

I gotta know more clearly about your question, i am going to explain in 'Guide Solutions'
Guide 1: Is it the color just cover the main grid? (Color cover like blocking the others, such as watching 70s TV shows, the colors blocked in black and white.)
Source 1: Audio input problems, your dvd audio input linked with three different 'rops', they are appeared to be push by pressure.
Solution 1: Determine more spaces to them!
Guide 2: Is it the color cover the photon grid? (Color cover at all pictures, each of them doesn't stand the other colors instead of replaced by unique color)
Source 2: Undefined
Solution 2: The TV setting menu seems to b set by specific colors, change it on your own using remote. OR this is a specific part that the DVD need to show the color in unique color (only one)
(No problems, keep watching)!

How do I attach my dvd to the 42 inch tv to watch a movie? Do I just attached the RGB connections?

An HDMI cable is best however a set of Component cables will also work. The Component (RGB) will also carry a high def image. You will need five cables in all. The Red, Blue, Green for the video and two additional RCA cables for audio (red and white). Color match the inputs to both the DVD and the TV. Select "Video" source from the Input menu of the TV. Confirm this worked.

XBOX Live plays back with pink hue

*YOU DO NOT NEED TO SWITCH TO STANDARD DEFINITION*

To view the videos via HDMI, you need to switch the HDMI Color Space setting to "RGB". To do this go through:

My Xbox > System Settings > Console Settings > Display > HDMI Color Space > and from there select RGB

I had this same issue when watching movies from a USB flash drive and this worked perfect, so I hope this helps those of you who love your HDMI as much as I do.

I have a GBV441 DVD/VCR player which is shaky and plays the DVD in an overall green color which distorts the image. I have tried to adjust the color, but this doesn't work. I've tried it on 3 DVD's and...

I think the DVD player might either be set to output RGB, or if you are watching it via a scart to TV, and the TV is not RGB type. Alternative the TV is an RGB type and your player needs switching to RGB output.

"Display connected non-HDCP compliant" error

The HDMI cable was causing "Display connected non-HDCP compliant" error message to appear.
When I reconnected my DVD to TV using regular cable with 3 color connectors(i don't know what is the proper name for that cable) that error message no longer appears on my screen and I was able to watch my movie normally.
