What is the best possible battery to buy for the 3003lci Acer??? ANSWER PLZ

I need a new battery. I hear their are better replacement batteries, mine fully charged lasts about a minute thirty. I'd like to be able to charge my laptop and at least get 2-3 hrs off it. PLEASE HELP.

My bad dude, thought it said it in the heading. My notebook is the Acer 3003LCI. My batery dies within two minutes of disconnected on a fully charged battery. I know a replacement of the same battery only lasts AT BEST an HOUR fully charged, though I bet its only 30 -45 minutes. I need to know if there is a better battery out there

    Here's what I found out.
The acer 3003 comes with a 4 cell battery that has about an hour of battery life. Finding a replacement with 6 or 8 cells would greatly increase the lifespan per charge.

    Here's an 8 cell from e-bay

srry so long. been a busy monday.

My zg5 laptop battery will not power my laptop.battery is new. fully charged.

Hi John,

For the sake of clarity: the battery which will not charge/power your Acer Aspire One Netbook is the original battery that came with the Acer, is this correct?
Assuming that the answer is Yes then replacement with a NON Acer, universal battery is the only solution.
Reputable internet shops, such as Amazon, have these at around $50...
DANGER; Due to the recall of thousands of Acer (HP and others) batteries with a possible fire hazard please dispose of promptly and properly.

Acer aspire will not turn on or charge

Hello bperez28,

There are 3 possible reasons for that problem.

1. Battery is dead or is not seated properly. Try removing the battery from your laptop and then replace it back. If the battery is dead, it will not charge anymore. If it is still under warranty, ask for a replacement.

2. Charger is malfunctioning. Try to plug it into a different know working plug outlet. You might need to replace the charger with a new one.

3. Motherboard issue. Needs servicing.

You need trial and error to know exactly which of those is the reason why your Laptop is malfunctioning. Try a different charger/battery BEFORE buying one.

I want to buy a new rechargeable battery for my acer aspire 5100,5102WLMi. I have found a new battery that matches mine with all the specs. except the old one is rated at 4000mAh and the new one is rated...

no, you could use a battery with a higher amp hour rating.
It just a way of saying how long the battery will last at a certain amp drain. The higher the better

My laptop is an Acer Aspire 3003LCi. My problem is that whenever I would charge it, the icon would say that it is only on AC power but not charging. It is only when I took out the battery and put it again...

This is a common problem without any real answer, it happens due to the internal resistance of the battery being detected incorrectly, and this mucks it all up. Taking the battery out actually resets a chip in the battery... yea I know... Sometimes a new battery will "Fix" it, but it's less expensive to remove and replace me thinks?

Acer 3003LCi - Wireless Connection

It seems the two oval lights on the front of the Acer TravelMate 3003LCi are not only lights to indicate WiFi traffic, but also buttons to turn the WiFi radio on and off for security reasons. If you press and hold the left side button for 3-5 seconds it should turn back on the WiFi radio. Windows XP (and maybe other OS’s) have a power saving function that turns the radio off when not in use to save the battery, so you have to use the buttons to turn the radio back on. Seems like a pain in the @$$ to me, but it’s a clients laptop not mine so he will have to live with that.

I hope this helps someone so they do not have to go through the frustration of trying to figure out why the radio has been turned off.
