I tried to plug in headphones into my gameboy classic and now theres no volume at all! I NEED HELP

What kind of headphones and TV are you trying to make work as an combined pair? It sounds to me as though you have your head phones plugged into the speaker location on the TV which could be a small hole that shows a pic of speakers. Look on the TV for an 'mic' or 'pic of headphones' holes. If there is an plug in hole with either it states mic or shows a pic of headphones plug the headphones into that hole instead of where you have them plugged into now.

Another suggestion is to use MDI cords in which you may already be using aka white, red, yellow colored plugs. If those plugs are assembled in the slots incorrect that also could be the reason as to why the headphones turn down when you turn the volume to the TV down; which also would influence the TV volume its self to also disengage to go either louder or quieter. MDI cords should be plugged in the following pattern to be categorized as the following with each color following the next color; yellow, white, red. Now if you are using MDI cords presently do you have them plugged in front or back of the TV?

If the TV has hole ports in both front and back for MDI cords then reverse your plug ins. Example: If you have them plugged in the front instead switch all three to the back of the TV or vise versa.

Also another thing; since you are wanting to use headphones for your TV speakers instead of the TV speakers themselves usually plugging headphones in are controlled by TV volume buttons; however I am assuming that you are trying to state that when you plug headphones into the TV you still hear the volume in your ears and anyone in the TV room is also still hearing the TV even though headphones are plugged in, am I right?

With you wanting to cancel the speakers on the TV out only attempted to use TV volume for speakers and without it working means you have the MDI cord plugged into the audio which would cause the TV to power the volume for the headphones anyways. May I ask this; since I am a bit confused, alright are you wishing for the headphones to be able to be loud enough so the TV only powers them for volume when you use the TV?

I know that headphones being plugged into an TV should only keep their volume within the ear buds. Therefore I have never heard of headphones being able to be loud enough to power out room sound. Instead they power internal volume which would be within your ears. Headphones were meant to keep noise and volume from surrounding a room to block room noise out and to keep the sound for your/ an own persons only listening capability. So because of this I am confused as to how ear phones would have the ability to sound the room with audio.

I can understand that if what you are trying to say is that the speakers on the TV still output volume even with head phones plugged in which would be an issue, since head phones are to capture the volume and noise from the unit in which plays aloud- to actually silence it instead- for the individual whom requires or presumes to have themselves to be the only listener.

Did they ever work or are you trying them on a new computer? They don't need switching on you just plug the plug into the audio out of your sound card or motherboard, make sure the mute button isn't selected on the inline remote. Play an mp3 on your computer, make sure the volume on your computer is turned up, plug in another known working set of headphones or active speakers make sure you can hear the music, then plug out those speakers and then plug in the headphones. Do they work when you try that?

Sounds like (no pun intended) the amplifier circuit in the speaker is bad. When you use the headphone the amplifier is not used - only the preamp. It will need repair.

You would need to replace the headphone socket then and if I am correct it should be mounted to a plug in board. I first need the model number of your Samsung to look up the part number. The model will be on a sticker on the side and will be something like HTP50***/XAA or something like that.

The audiolevel is much to low for a headphone.
You really need to use a headphoneoutput ( if its there) or a headphoneamplifier.
You tried to connect your headphone on line-level outputs.

Contrary to what's posted above, the Marshall MG series does not pass the speaker power output through the headphone jack, and inserting the headphones into the jack does not disable the speaker. The headphone amp is a separate circuit and it's input is taken before the master volume. So Jan's post is exactly right. Turn off the master volume and turn up all the other gain/volumes as high as they will go. The other issue is that the headphone jack's output does not drive low efficiency headphones well, so you need some headphones similar to Sony's MDR-V700s to hear it well. Earbuds just don't cut it.

possible causes:

1. volume was muted on PC
2. volume was too low
3. plug to wrong jack
   
4. faulty headphone
5. audio driver was not installed (check Device Manager)

7. use the wrong device for sound playback (Control Panell > Sound and Audio Devices > Audio tab)
   

There is no unlock for the volume. There is a volume limit which is based in settings, so try that and turn it all the way up. If you still have no sound, try using a sound device with a docking bay. If there is sound it means that you're headphone/hold cable is faulty, otherwise, if there is no sound from headphones or by docking then there is a fault with your logic board.

I'll need more info on this problem: what type of connection do the headphones use? USB? Bluetooth? Classic audio jack?

Solution bellow applies in case of "ordinary" audio jack headphones. Also, check if your headphones have a built-in volume control (usually located on the cable). If that is the case, look for a Microphone On/Off switch if one exists.

Step 1. Make sure that you've plugged in your headphones in the correct jack. These days, they are usually color-coded so Microphone should go be plugged into a red jack.

Step 2. Run "Volume control ["Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment >Volume Control"] or double click the speaker icon in your System Tray if it's present.

Step 3. In Volume Control, activate "Options > Properties". Find "Microphone" and "Line In" under the "Show the following volume controls:" and activate them. Click ok.

Step 4. Maximize the volume on the "Microphone" and "Line In" slider.
