Remove the printer from the MAC. Go here and get new Firmware and then Drivers as a new package.

The error displayed on Canon Printer number means sheet feeder needs to be replaced, it can be that gears in the printer and/or sensor have become broken or faulty. 5700 is a ASF cam error most likely which is called ASF cam sensor error.

This error is referring to the ASF assy (Assembly frame which means the paper feed section)
This paper sheet feeder assy is a extremley complicated piece and is therefore not really repairable. You will need to take the machine to a canon repairer for a new assy sheet feeder to be fitted. It takes a trained engineer about 2-1/2 hours to fit one as the whole machine has to come apart and the new feeder has to be aligned while fitting. Its a job i always hate having to do. You dont have any other options i am afraid. Srri to bring you such bad news.

The 5700 error is showing that the Auto Sheet Feeder paper sensor has an error and needs cleaning or changing to fix this error. This can also be caused by problems with the paper pick up mechanism and roller so make sure you thoroughly dust them with a soft brush or clean them with a cotton bud and isopropyl alcohol. Also preferably vacuum out the whole paper path with a soft brush tool with the printer switched off at the mains. If cleaning the sensor and cleaning the paper path does not clear the error then you will have to call as service engineer and possibly have the sensor or paper feed mechanism serviced or replaced.

The error code 5700 is the sensor error.Replace the sheet
feed unit and then adjust the timing of the paper feed gears.

I have never seen this error code on a sharp FO 5700 are you sure that is the right model # or error code. I even did a search in the FO5700 service manual(no luck). I believe I have seen this code before on a sharp copier.

I am getting the same error. What is the solution.
