Harman Kardon AVR 320 Receiver Logo
Posted on Dec 27, 2009

I have a Harmon Kardon-AVR 320, DVD 25, PA 2000. I can't get any sound with when trying to watch a DVD. I've tried every setting on each system. The L and R speaker light blink on the DVD setting. The surround sound speakers don't even light up on the AVR320. Every other function works except for watching dvd's. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

We have this same problem We had friend visiting; he pushed a button and we've lost sound but only on the dvd. I've tried every setting I can think of, but can't get sound. Did you find a solution?

Question moved to Harmon Kardon AVR category.

They all need remotes. You just buy a replacement.

Harman kardon avr 1500

Try using the RCA outputs once and see if that works..One other thing don't use the phono input on the receiver as it could damage the amplifier

Trying to connect samsung smart tv to harmon kardon avr 330 with toslink cable, but i'm not gettting any sound through the receiver to speakers

The inputs may be assignable on the Harman Kardon. Make sure you have selected the proper analog or digital input type for the cable you are using. For more information, or should you have further questions, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me directly through the website. Thank you.

Can I connect guitar to my Harmon Kardon receiver

Sorry. They are not compatible. The headphone jack is an output but you need an input for a guitar or bass. You will certainly damage the HK if you continue. There are no compatable inputs on the HK. The inputs are meant to be used with a 300mv output device, such as a CD or DVD.

Just bought a Sharp LED TV and there is a slight delay between hearing sound and seeing lips move. Have cable box hooked up to tv by HDMI and have cable box hooked to AVR (Harmon Kardon AVR125) by optical...

Hi if there is an optical out on the television i would use that direct to your Harmon Kardon AVR 125, the sound would be in sync with picture, as the source is the same.

Harmon Kardon AVR 235 no sound

Ensure that your speakers are connected to the terminals that you have your speaker selector switch turned to.
Then check that you have your device, whether it be a CD or DVD player, or turntable, plugged into the correct input and that you also have the correct input selected on the receiver.

Harmon kardon 745 displays "unlock" no sound for tv or movies

I also had this UNLOCK message on my Harman Cardon AVR 130.
The reason for this error was - in a hurry I've plugged the optical input into optical OUT! Double check that your connections in the back are correct and hopefully it fixes your problem.
