Fisher & Pykel dishwasher dual drawer

WE have had this problem before. Put something too large in the bottom drawer and it causes the seal to not disengage and it is almost impossible to open. Last 2 times we had repairman and all he did was reset it. I have searched this site but can not find how ro reset the bottom drawer lid to retract. Please help!!!!!

I read the manual on line and I did not see a way to reset. What I mean by the repair rep "reset" was that he held down 1 or 2 buttons and some codes came up and one of those codes, what I would say, reset the bottom drawer sealing lid by retracting it. Best I can describe is that the last time I ran the bottom drawer, something too large did not allow the bottom drawer's sealing lid close all the way, but it did not leak water. But when that cycle was over, it was almost impossible to open the drawer, much like it was off the track or something. So when it happened last time, it took him but a few minutes to "reset" the closing lid. There is nothing on the display, it is normal.

This worked. Initially it did not get it, but cutting power source coupled with this worked. You could immediately hear the lid raise back up. Thank you!!!!!

I am having the same problem -- except with the top drawer. It just finishing a clean cycle, and now the drawer is very hard to open, the top lid did not retract. It happened a few months ago, the repairman fixed in about 30 seconds, by hitting some buttons. Anyone know how to fix/reset?

My bottom drawer will not open. This hapened in the past and I call the tech support number and they told me a sequence of key codes to push and it opened right up.

However, I forgot what they were. Called the same number for help and was told they had no idea what I was talking about and there was no way to open by pushing buttons.

HERE IS SOME MORE INFO THAT MIGHT HELP

    Tub Home Sensor

A tub home sensor is used to determine when the tub is closed and it is safe to start a cycle. The tub home sensor

consists of an inferred LED (sender) and an inferred transistor (receiver) mounted on the circuit board in the

controller. Inferred light is transmitted from the LED through an optical light pipe to the right hand side of the tub. The

inferred receiving transistor also has an optical light pipe leading from it out to the side of the tub. When the tub is

closed the two light pipes are optically connected via a prism mounted in the trim on the side of the chassis.

To enter this setup mode, press Power, then hold the Eco touch switch and KeyLock button simultaneously for 5

seconds ensuring that Eco is pushed first. Once the setup mode is entered a beep is emitted and the LCD displays

the letters rA. By pushing the Start/Pause button you can scroll through and change the following options:-

    Rinse Aid Setup (rA)

    Water Supply Hardness Setup (hd)

    Auto Power Option (AP)

    End of Cycle Beeps (EC)

    Closed Drawer Option (Ld).

    Clean/Dirty Dish Symbol (dS)

    Dry Enhancement Option (LH)

    4.1.6 Closed Drawer Option (Ld)

The Closed Drawer Option can be turned on or off using the Keylock button. If the Scrubbing Brush is showing on

the LCD then the Closed Drawer Option is selected and it will keep the DishDrawer locked at all times by bringing

the lid down. When this mode is selected the customer needs to push the power button to lift the lid whenever they

want to open the drawer. When they close the drawer again the lid comes down automatically after 30 seconds and

locks the tub. If the Scrubbing Brush is not showing then the Closed Drawer Option is deactivated.

Also you could try resetting the software in each drawer.this is done by holding down the lock button till it beeps, then repeating till it beeps again.

My dishwasher fisher pykel twin dish washer model # DD 605 , SHOWS AN ERROR CODE f7 first then shows error code f9

The top dishdrawer is hard to open or close as the lid seal actuator motors are most likely faulty or lost power. The scraping is the lid seal touching the drawer lid. The F7 and F9 error are a result of this fault with the actuator motors.
At the base of the dishwasher housing under the bottom drawer is the power board. From there the power is supplied to the controller and the motors. These motors move the lid seal into position. First turn the mains power to dishwasher off and then back on. See if this resets the motor position. If not you will have to call the technician to fix the problem. But if you are technical savy you could go to the base of the dishwasher and take the connectors of drawer 1 out from the power board and swap with drawer 2 which is working.
If power board connection is not making any difference, then motors are the likely problem. Needs a lot of expertise to replace and adjust the motors.

Fisher and Paykel Dish Drawer: I flooded it by using wrong soap. It was flashing F1 but I solved this by drying it out after removing the bottom drawer. That problem is solved but now the top drawer is...

Most likely the lid seal is dislodged and is obstructing the bottom drawer. Need to manually operate the lid seal actuator yoke and motor to bring the seal back to normal position. Can be messy.
Will need to get the bottom drawer out from housing and work on lid seal assembly located in the main housing.

Drawer won't open and get beep code 2 short 1 long

The drawer door seal is locked in. This could be either because the controller has lost power or the seal actuator motor is faulty.

You will have to force open the drawer before you can do anything. (Turn off the mains power when you work on the dishwasher)

Let me know if you can handle electric/ mechanical repairs so that I can guide you further. Otherwise you should call a technician. If you are getting beeps then most likely the door seal system is the problem.
Are you able to use the top drawer?

Lower drawer F1 error code, I suspect possible seal leak. Very small amount of water on floor. Upper washer control panel cycles rapidly through all programs and back light is burned out. I suspect control...

Yes this means that the machine is detecting water under the bottom drawer. Pull the bottom drawer out and soak up the water with a towel and then the error will go away. This happens often because something gets put in the drawer that's too tall and doesn't allow the lid to come down all the way and seal.

Top drawer obstruction, can not close.

Pull out the drawer.at the bottom near the front panel at both sides, press the square tabs in and pull the drawer further. When you have the clearance from the edge of the drawer, lift it up out of the rails then put it down to floor. It may not be the hose. I think the top lid seal is sagging down causing the resistance. If this is a case, you need to replaces both actuators to lift up and down the lid to overcome this problem.
Good luck.

Fisher pykel original dish drawer

if you pull out the lower drawer, there s aside release pin on either side of bottom corner of hte drawers when extended. a small maybe quarter sized hole( no need to mess with that only removes the face panel) but under it is a release that you can push in and back a little, this will unlock from the drawer hinges(slides) just nee to lift up and over to the left slightly, on the back wall behind hte drawer youll find a pretty good trouble shooter for this model, itll tell you what hte code is and will try to walk you through as to what might of happened as well as recommended repair
