you should contact your internet provider for professional advice. it's most likely free and faster than asking nerds on the internet who doesn't know anything about your specific router-model ;)
Hello,
You can use this wireless router to connect different wireless devices together. Each device with a wireless network card (computer, phone, gaming system, printer, etc.) can connect to the router without a cable. This will form a network where information can be shared.
The main purpose people use this for is to connect their network to the internet. As long as the router is connected to your internet, every other wireless device can also connect.
Thanks,
Pat
online user manual is here
http://www.cnet.com.tw/download/cwr-854.htm
If you goto page 37 it show the dhcp range .
Make sure your pc cofiguration is set to dhcp - automatically obtain and IP and DNS - this is explained on page 10/11
try this
Start>run{vista/7 search box}>cmd>ipconfig /release
Start>run{vista/7 search box}>cmd>ipconfig /renew
see if that produces the correct info
You can't really use a router to connect to another router, you can sometimes use them as an "Extender" for range, but not as a WiFi card, they simply aren't made to operate that way.
The internet connection has a security that's why you can't access the internet. The only thing you have to do is to know the wpa password of the router.
This router has a default username and password to configure all the settings. This is the manual for Cnet CWR-854 Router:
It seems that the router is already configured by an authorized person, the best thing you should do is contact the authorized person that knows everything about the router.
Your router model is CWR-854, I suppose. Port forwarding instruction for your Cnet Wireless CNET CWR-854 Router can be found here. Choose the program for which you want the port to be forwarded or use the Default Guide.
you may try this and see if this help solve your problem
Step 1: Shutdown the computer. Step 2: reset the router while power on then Unplug the router’s power cable. Step 3: Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for 30 seconds. Step 4: Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for its lights to appear
stable. Step 5: Plug in the router's power cable once the modem’s lights appear stable. Step 6: Power on the computer on and test the Internet connection.
if this still didnot work, maybe you need to upgrade the firmware of your router
