Remove housing the change belt on air speed

There are screws that hold the housing for the belts on. Take all these screws out and the housing should come off. Remove the old belt You have to take your vac model number and make and ask either at a vac store or sometimes a hardware store also carries them
To replace you have to take the brush off and you should clean and lightly oil the ends and replace with the belt on then put housing back in place. Replacing all the screws.Don't try repairing with it plugged in.

Belt keeps coming off

Hi There,
Most likely 1 of 3 problems.
1. The belt is stretched and so is just slipping off
Solution change the belt
2. THe brush roller has siezed bearings so brush cant turn properly so belt is slipping off the shaft.
Solution - check see if roller turns easily by hand if not change the bearings.
3. THe motor has twisted in its body due to cracked housing or worn rubber seats.
Solution- Depending on your skill and age of vacuum replace the housing or the vacuum.

It's a little tricky but here's how you get to the belt:

  1. Once you have removed the housing and the roller, turn the vacuum so that you are facing the pin the turns.
  2. Pull the belt to the back of the unit with your right hand so that the belt is against the pin on the front side and with your left foot apply pressure to the carriage where the roller sits. This action causes the plastic housing next to the pin to move toward the front of the vacuum providing enough space to slide the belt off easily.
  3. Be careful that you do not apply too much pressure with the foot.

How do I change the belt on a dirt devil ultra vision vacuum cleaner

I just changed mine and I will be blunt. First off, the design is **** on this vacume, secondly the belt was designed to break on the rusty carbon steel pully rod. Ok now that I've vented we will get down to business. On the bottom of the vacume you will find a plastic housing thats covering the brush. It will have 4 screws around the brush plus one above them. The housing itself is shaped like an L. Remove all the screws and expose the bare brush. This was not my case but there should be a belt holding the brush to a small steel pully rod in the top part of the L indention. If not then just locate an indention on the brush where the belt will be placed and look directly beneath that to find the pully rod (probably about 6 inches beneath the indention on the brush). wrap your new belt around the metal pully rod and then take out the brush. Wrap the other end of the belt around the indention on the brush and pull up hard and replace the brush in its vacume housing. This will take some effort as the belt has to be stretched. When finished replace the housing cover with the five screws and boom you're done.

How do you change the belt on a winsor sensor s12?

Step 1. Remove the vacuum bag housing so that you are only working with the power nozzle or the bottom portion of your Sebo, this will make it much easier to work with. Turn the vacuum upside down, and remove only the 5 screws that I have circled in red:

Step 2. After removing the screws on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner, separate the top housing from the lower agitator housing, sometimes it may take putting a flat head screw driver in between the white and grey colored housing and prying them apart.

Step 3. You now have full access to the belts on your machine. It's most likely the belt that wraps around the brush gear rather then the belt that's attached to the motor that's gone bad. I have never replaced the motor belt in 8 years of servicing Windsor vacuums.

If you have any further questions on how to replace the belt, please feel free to reply to this repair by leaving your question in the comment section, I'm always more then happy to answer any question you may have.

Thanks again,

Chris Jones

Kirby G4D belt change . haven't changed the belt in years ! not sure who it goes on, or around the the spool housing ??

Changing belt on Kirby is a bit complicated. Kirby Co. just did not make it easy for their customers. You have to be careful when installing the brush roll back. Brush roll end caps have to be put back a certain way. For detailed instructions with pictures go HERE.

Good Luck,

Bissell pro heat

The easiest way is remove the belt cover on the top housing, turn unit over, on the belt side remove the red plastic lock, one screw, then you can pull the brush roll cap out, take it off, then you can get to the cogged belt, look further in and you can get to the pump belt. You didn't which belt you want to change, if it is the cogged belt, check the end on=f the pump that the belt goes on, if the cogs are gone, you will have to replace the pump, if they are there, then just replace the belt and put back together.

Changing my Belt

There should be 2 or 3 screw on the top housing, if not there, then they are on the bottom. Remove those screws, then the top housing comes off and the belt and brushroll are in the open.Part # 61120A long life belt. Brush roll #62365-2 if needed.
