My printer and scanner not working some error showing as:

- The original may not be set correctly
- The Protective Sheet may be put in place
- The lamp may not be warmed up
(It needs a few minutes for adjusting lamp on a low temperature.)
Scanner driver will be closed

Can you do photocopies locally...?
I so you can ignore the above mentioned messages...
I would reinstall the scanner software and verify all cable connections.

I have the same problem on my Canon PIXMA MP810
I have the same problem with my MP810. I have reinstalled the scanner driver MPNavigator 3.03. Same problem. Problem started after I scanned some slides. Scanner works in local mode - both for copies and for scanning and downloading to the computer.
