Typical Fuel System (Primer Bulb and fuel lines may not apply)

Fuel Line Replacement by SmallEng.com

  • The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
  • If the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, an output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill as it inflates).
  • The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.
Take lots of notes and a few digital photographs to help with reassembly. HTH

The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best; components are listed but on multiple illustrations.

CHANGE FUEL PUMP ON 1999 BLAZER

Check your fuel pressure.
Hopefully this tank is not full, as you need to pull the tank to change fuel pump, this is mounted onto the tank through the top. There are several plastic fitting and hose connecitons on the tank as well as the fuel level connector. There may also be a Vapor pressure sensor on the tank. After unbolting the tank lower the tank just far enough to remove the wireing and hoses. Make sure top of tank is clean. If you have to move tank out from under Blazer cover hose aconnectionss and wash off top of tank and flange area. Unlock flange and R and R pump assembly. Reconnect hoses and wires, reinstall tank. Connect hose to fuel test port on engine, purge air from fuel system. Check the fuel pressure. InMrFixIt

How do I change the fuel filter in my cahinsaw?

Usually the fuel filter is attached to the end of the fuel uptake hose inside the fuel tank... You need to access this hose (sometimes you can make a little wire hook to insert into the tank and draw the fuel uptake hose out)... If it is easily interchangeable this is how you would access it (on most chainsaw designs).

Cracked fuel lines

changing them, also change the fuel filter if you havent done it in a while, better gas mileage, id just go to your local auto parts dealer and tell them you want a new fuel line linkage from the tank to the front connection, if there is one. not really sure if it goes all the way to the fuel rail or not, but if it does then have fun, drop the tank, remove hose, replace hose, replace fuel filter, replace other cracked hose, making the replacement hose as short as possible, dont cut it though, just a waste cuz your going to have to replace the rest of it anyways
