you need to type 192.168.0.1 into address bar on internet explorer if this does not bring up a password prompt then you need to set your ip addresses on both computers this is done by clicking start - my network places - on left view network connections - right click on wireless for wireless and on normal lan for lan - click properties scroll down to tcp ip sttings - right click - click properties - click use the following ip address - type 192.168.0.2 - click sub mask it will auto fill then default gateway needs to be 192.168.0.1 - then click use the following dns server and type 192.168.0.1 click ok and your done for every computer you add to the network you have to change the last digit of the ip address such as 2 then 3 then 4. go back to internet explorer type 192.168.0.1 you will get the password prompt the user-name is admin and password is password
once done you need to check it is connected to the net it should say on the first page. if you need anymore info msm me moc.liamtohat1202gniksirhc
Their is typically 2 reasons to get that message. 1 your system has corrupted some files by being shutdown improperly, virus / spyware, or random microsoft glitch. 2. Your harddrive has devloped bad sectors and cannot read that area of the disk.
Solution:
Grab your install disk, boot to the "Press any key to boot" when you see it. Press Enter Press F8 then press R for the Restore Console
It may ask what keyboard you want to use, then default to english. At this point you will see a screen that looks like dos. Type in chkdsk c: /f /r /x Once that completes restart and see what you get. If that does not fix the problem: You will need to reinstall windows. You can just do a repair install, and that will not delete any files on the machine.
