Okay, 200 x 4 means 800Watts now that should be the peak RMS which is how it regularly works "STABLE" should be 400 or 100rms per chanel, find speakers of 100 rms to get e clean sound wave. If you can bridge it get you two 200 rms speakers.

FUC% the protection light

i had a similar problem with my amp (although a different brand). Check you ground connection and make sure it's not grounded to metal with paint covering it. This is NOT a solid ground connection. You must remove the paint then reconnect it. Without a solid connection to ground, it cant run for very long without going into protection mode. Hope this helps

SHOULD I GO AHEAD AND BUY A 400 WATT AMP?

All amps aren't created equal. More exspense amps put out "cleaner" power. You need to know what the RMS power rating is for the amp at 8 ohms and 4 ohms. Also, is the speaker an 8 or 4 ohm speaker? How you wire a speaker or speakers (series or paralell) can change the ohms (resistence) which will change the power put out of the amp. Also, I'm assuming you are setting it up in mono?

I NEED DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO CONNECT MY AMP TO MY CAR

We'll start with powering the system up. YOu will need to run your power wire from the battery. It must have a fuse just after the battery. Run the negative to the chassis of the vehicle. On the back of the radio, there will be a blue wire labeled remote/antenna. This wire needs to be connected to the amp. This is what turns it on and off when you power up the radio. Next you will need to run the RCA cables from the back of the radio to the amp. Now you are ready to hook up the sub woofers to the output side of the amp.

Soundstorm amp

Your D-SERIES amplifier was designed to operate efficiently at loads down to 2 Ohms.
This means that you can install four 8 Ohm speakers per channel when using parallel wiring.
of an additional 10W to each speaker.
Please note: The gain control of any car audio amplifier should not be mistaken for a volume
control. It is a sophisticated device, designed to match the output level of your audio source unit to
the input level of the amplifier . Do not adjust this input level to maximum unless your input level
requires it. Ignoring these instructions will result in an input overload to the amplifier, and excessive
2 Ohm Operation
front panel will be illuminated, indicating the amplifier has gone into a self-preservation mode.
these conditions before attempting to power up the amplifier again.
When operating at 2 Ohms, the amplifiers will increase their output power by approximately 50%. The
current draw will so increase by about the same amount, also be sure you have enough current to
run the amplifiers into a 2 Ohm load. If you lack adequate current, your music reproduction will be
distorted.
Increasing the number of woofers per channel at low frequencies (up to 100MHz) produces an acoustic
coupling effect. This acoustic coupling increases your power output by 3 dB per speaker, or the equivalent
audio distortion. It can also cause the protection circuit to engage.

Aux input on Soundstorm amp

If the amplifiers have RCA jacks, you can use an adapter cable to go from the headphone jack to the RCA inputs on the amp. If you're in the U.S., Radio Shack will likely have what you need.

Protection light

The most common cause for this is shorted output transistors.

I dont know how many watzz is my amP!

200 X 4 does mean 200 watts times 4 channels. In other words each channel pushes out 200 watts. I believe u have a total output power of 800 watts but check with ur manual and if u do use that much power make sure you check for overheating, specially if its used for bass. Soundstorm amps cant take much of a beating so be careful.
