You may have 2 problems.
One. The temperature sensor could be bad. You can remove the temperature sensor and check it with a ohm meter. It should read 1050 to 1150 ohms. If not. It is bad.
Two. The glowbar ignitor could be bad and not igniting the gas safety valve.Open the bottom drawer of the oven and set the oven to bake. The burner should light in 60 seconds or less. Re-light should be about 30 seconds or less.
If it takes longer the ignitor is bad.

GE XL 44 oven will not come up to temperature. Oven lights but will not heat beyond 250 degrees.

Hello,

The most probable reason the oven isnt heating very well is because of a weak igniter, since that igniter is weak its having a hard time fully opening the gas valve so the flame is very small and thusly not producing much heat,by replacing the igniter the gas will flow properly and heat to a high tempature.

Cleaning cycle completed. lights out. stop timer popped out. how long do I wait until door latch will release. I pushed button but door won't unlock. it's 1 hour now.

The door will not unlatch until the oven temperature cools down to about 300 degrees. It can take several hours.

It takes 28 minutes for the oven to reach temperature of 375 degrees. The ready buzzer goes off in about 15 minutes. The temperature is 300 degrees. Is there any adjustments to be made.

what is your oven if is gas or electric, if is gas easy to preheat by using lower heating element, if electric? that your unit have convection? or not? coz some probelm of the oven is, 1 if the oven is no convection or your oven is single heating in upper element,if your oven have a timer and cut off in 15minute? dont use timer, use a manual timer by it your self,if you want to reach the degrees that you want check your oven if der a lower and upper heating element with convection function, that the one is the most easy way to reach the degree that you want to reach.

Hi,
If your electric2_bing.gif oven is not heating then you probably have a bad heating element in your oven. This is not that hard to fix yourself...

Oven does not get to temp when it says its preheated

More than likely, its your oven thermometer thats taking a half hour to read correctly. The oven is probably getting there sooner. If you had a digital thermometer, the read would come quicker. So save your money, nothing wrong with your stove.

I am attempting to pre-heat oven to 400 degrees but oven heat will not raise above 100 degrees

Hi, Upon reading your post I immediately thought of a bad ignitor for the oven, but I am not sure whether you have a gas oven or a conventional electric range. So...If it is gas, I'd suggest replacing the ignitor for the hot surface ignition. If it's electric the bake element may be at fault although most range's use the broil in the preheat, so it should still climb up to 400, it would just take a really long time. Maybe you can clarify if it's electric or gas and I can try to move you forward from there. Macmarkus :)

I have a GE Profile Gas Range with a double oven. The bottom oven takes 20 minutes to warm up to 300 degrees. Is this normal? I was told the bottom oven is electric, which I haven't used electric in years,...

my oven does the same thing. i do not believe that the oven is electric though. the only electric part on my oven is the control board. if the oven was electric it should heat up much sooner than that,

GE Profile oven won't heat up

Check the temperature sensor with a OHM meter.
It should read 1100 ohms. If not, replace it.
Otherwise make sure the glow bar ignitior is coming on.
Ignitors however can glow and still be bad.
