I have a DD/603. The bottom drawer works fine. The top drawer runs through its cycle for several minutes, then pauses and flashes the "scrub brush" icon. It won't start again until I press the "Start/Pause" button. Then it runs fine for a couple more minutes. Repeat. ... OK, now it keeps giving the not-ready beeps, thinks it's open.

Try to feel the temperature of water inside the dishwasher. If it is normal room temperature for the hot wash cycles then it is likely the heater is faulty. It is not easy to replace unless you have good experience with repairing dishwashers.
check your kitchen drain as it might be blocked or if you have a garbage disposal (kitchen insinkerator) make sure it is cleared before running the dishwasher.
If your bottom drawer works fine then your inlet water valve below the bottom drawer is bad. Click on the link below to see how to repair this dishwasher.
You may want to check up if the water collects in the bottom drawer when the top drawer is in wash cycle (ie, taking water from the inlet) or during the drain cycle when it is draining water out. Leave the bottom drawer open and check while the top drawer is running.
Hi- These is the possibility that the control lock has been activated. Press the far right button on the control badge or the LCD and hold it down until it beeps. If the Lock is engaged the key symbol will appear on the LCD. More probable is that your controller is bad. Hope this helps.
Josh, you will need to have a Tech out to look at it... F/P will not sell you parts to repair it. The F1 indicates that the flood switch has been tripped. There are many possible causes for this but probably the upper drawer link support has broken and is getting stuck between the lid and the drawer in which case you will need a new lid and link support.
I have a DD603 bought used, put in the upgrade kit. But now it goes into pause several times during a load. It happens on both drawers very very anoying.
