You need to connect directly the sound wire of your magic sing to your home theather while the video wire of your magic sing directly to your hdtv. If its difficult to do because of distance, buy an rca extension to extend your magic sing wire to make it reach to the other end.

Hi I have the Sony DAV-HDX285 home theatre system and I'm trying to get it to work with my Vizio 47" HD tv. I go thru the speaker setup with the dvd supplied and all speakers are working tthu the home...

I assume you mean the TV sound only comes out of the TV. THAT would involve internal audio controls at the TV.

Why don't you just connect the TV-related audio directly from each source to the DAV instead of through the TV, which adds NOTHING to the sound quality and may even degrade or limit it.

When i connected the 5.1 home theatre to the LCD tv, there is a lag between the sound from tv and stereo system (just like echo).

That is very common because of video processing delay. You have to listen with either TV speakers or surround sound; but not both. Some TVs have an audion delay adjustment for TV speaker sync.

2-second delay with Magic Sing

i bought et18k. just the same as yours.its 2 days old and has the same problem. the technical assistant says that its because of the digital setting that new tvs have. there are two ways to solve this though:

1. connect the video (yellow plug) to the tv. and the other two plugs (yellow and white) to the stereo. when i say stereo, its not the dvd home theater system that you have but a separate one. if you connect it to the home theater that you have, it'll just sound the same, you still have the delay.

2. connect the magic sing to the older tvs hangin out. and you'll get no problem at all.

**TVs such as sony, samsung, philips, sharp and all plasma tvs including other newly designed tvs will have the delay since they all share the HDMI thingy that causes sh*t.

I just bought a dvd home theater system sc-pt760 and i have a 42 inch LG flat screen and the sound wount work on AUX for the TV

Are you using the HDMI connection on both units, the SC-PT760 does have a HDMI input Yes/NO ? If not then it has HDMI output to the LG for HD Picture. What I would do if no HDMI INPUT to the SC-PT760 is available, run out of the TV with the Digital connection into the SC-PT760 Digital Audio in, assign the input as tv and you shoild get TV audio out of your home theatre, you could also use the analog connection audio out of the tv to the home theatre but this would not yield a dolby digital sound.

TV Audio won't come through the Home Theatre Speakers

why it doesn't come. just connect the RCA cable to the output pins of TV and connect them to the input female jacks of home theatre receiver. or if the TV has optical out and the home theatre reciever had optical in. thats the best option. just connect one optical cable to enjoy the 5.1 sound. tell me clear problem if u r nt solved.

Connection/sound issues!

the best thing to do is if ur lcd has a phono in/out is to connect ur theatre system through phono straight to the tv as then everything that comes up on the tv comes throught the theatre system
