SOURCE: Mother Board connection

Go to the site below. Its a manual for the 800/i65GV group. Go to page 67 and zoom in. You'll get a nice look where everything goes. Two rows of pins. Upper row and bottom row. Real close to each other. Do not place connectors up to down. Connect only left to right.
The reset connector has two pins. One will be white or black. These are - grounds. So connect it to the bottom row onto the most right two pins. Moving to your left. Skip one pin. Take the Power Switch a two pin connector. Remember Black & White is ground & ground goes to your right for both rows of Mb pins.
http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock478/p4p800/e1324_p4p800.pdf
Go to IDE_LED next. Its the last two pins towards your most left of the bottom row of pins. Move to the upper row & the power LED. Same as the bottom row keping the grounds to your right. Lastly is the speaker. Its connector holds four pins but you only use two. One in each end.

Good luck & please vote....

SOURCE: CONNECTION MOTHER BOARD MSI 7043

connection to the motherboard as per your query is not critical. you can do trial and error method, since an LED connected in reverse will not damage it, but just show no glow. so just reverse again, if it glows then its okay if still no glow then the LED is dead. Anyway, if you need the manual you can download from this link: http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloadfile&dno=3825&type=manual

SOURCE: number codes for giving connections to HDD led,Power led, Reset SW & Power SW to motherboard

Those are really tricky and always vary from motherboard to motherboard.
without the exact model no one will be able to tell you exactly. But I'd recommend that you start out with the power (pw) plug and try trial and error. The only ones really necessary are the pw and reset. the only 2 that are polarity sensitive are the HDD light and pw led.

SOURCE: I don´t have the foxconn motherboard manual "661m08"

Most mobo's have the connection points printed on them. Use a strong flashlight and look for some pins that have the following words printed near them (PW or PWR, RS or RST, HDD LED, etc) They should all be grouped together in the same corner of the mobo. Have you tried googling the motherboad name to find a manual? I have done that on a few occasions and got lucky.

SOURCE: Need picture of mother board for Emachine C2825

I've built a PC myself, each connector had text on it to say what it was and one arrow on it in relief, don't know wether that indicated plus or minus anymore.
Anyway, I recommend you just plug them in, and try to boot the PC. If it doesn't boot, switch the Power SW connector around, then it should boot. Do the same with the LED connectors, and it should work just fine!

Good luck,
Yannick.

Hello try to download a manual if you don`t have one:

http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=1&s=24&m=M2N68-AM+SE2&os=25&hashedid=rzWjxRHTivB96wPd

Please select your operating system
Select manual and hit global for download
The file needs to be unziped.

Does there come any beeps ??
The mainboard has a green led does that lid green or red ??
And the power supply to the board
did you connect the cable right ??
You can not connect the 24 pin cable wrong.
But you can connect the cable for the power supply 12+ wrong.
The pci-e cable sometimes fit in the socket.This is for a external
graphic card for extra power.
If you have connected this wrong the mainboard will not boot.
Please check all the cable is set correctly assisted by the manual.

If no luck the mainboard just died.

Good luck

Wiring help for realistic 5 band equalizer cat.no.12-1963 don't know year or model of unit it has no wiring label on it. has 3 gray wires, 3white wires,3 green wires, one black wire,one brown wire....

the 5 thinner cables goes to positive lead of each speaker from the radio (input to amp) the red one to battery.You will not use the negative led for the speakers from the radio. The remaining coarse ones goes to the speakers (each pair same color to a speaker) and the red one feed radio positive led. Black is ground.

I need to wire my sony cd player into my fiat cinquencento but I have no idea how to wire it in I just spent 23 on a wire for the stereo an it only cost me a tenner for the actual stereo I dont want to...

most car stereos are simple to wire, especially sony!

Main power cable colours are:..
RED = LIVE (+)
BLACK = NEGATIVE (-)
YELLOW = MEMORY/SWITCH LIVE it will be next to the red and black cables
ORANGE AND WHITE = ELECTRIC ARIAL (IF FITTED)
BLUE = REMOTE WIRE (FOR AMP CONTROL IF USING)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You should now be left with a couple of audio out jacks and speaker cables,
the speaker cables are straightforward, most have a twin, ...E.G if you have a grey wire, this should be next to a grey and white (or grey and black, depends on model) wich is classed as its PAIR/TWIN.............
an so forth,...green, purple, white, brown.....ect ect
each colour havin a twin as stated ealier!! (they are twinned, as the solid colour is usually the negative speaker, and the solid colour with a stripe through it is usually the posative speaker connection (eg..single solid colour is (-)...and...solid colour with stripe is posetive (+)...)
I need to know the sequence on how to connect my Power LED, Reset Switch, HDD LED, and M/B Switch up correctly. I have an MS-7142 VER:1 Can you help me?
Hi carlmtclem, your not alone when it comes to hooking up the right led connector to the MSI MB. Firstly, you need to know what wire color is positive & which is negative. Most commonly the color white is ground/negative. Wire colors do vary from case to case. So look at your case led wires. Which ever color is common for each 2-pin connector, is negative. (Except the speaker wire).
All other colors are positive.
(The speaker wire color for negative is usually black & red is positive).
Your MSI board has two separate sets of pins.
JFP2 is used for the speaker only. Do not connect the power led there.
4214cb1.jpg
Pin one for JFP1 is shown in the manual. Pin 1 is positive & pin 3 is negitive for the HDD-LED, ECT.
Thats it.
Post here.
Good luck carlmtclem!
Thank you for using fixya.
Lost in the wiring :(
Hi bossman9628A, normally its the wire colors that messes everyone up when trying to connect the front case wires to the motherboard. The MSI RX480 Neo2-F, AKA MS-7151 MB is no different but does use a second set of pins just to help you get more confused.
Gather up all your case wires. You'll notice there is one color that is common. Chances are that color is white & is being used for the ground wire. Other colors like blue, green, red, light blue, light green & light red ECT are used for positive. The speaker uses black for ground/negative.
So looking at JFP1 at pin 1 is positive +. Pin 3, which is to the right of pin 1 is negative -.
The manual does show you which pin is negative & which is positive. Pin 1 = (HD_LED_P). The _P stands for positive.
Pin 3 = (HD_LED_N). The _N stands for negative. Do not connect the Power led at JFP2. Keep the power led connected at JFP1.
Do connect the case speaker at JFP2. Most cases do use 2-pin connectors but others use 3 & 4 pin connectors. If your case is such you can remove a wire from a connector by using a decent needle. There is a small black tab that you can pull towards your self while pulling the wire out. You can than slide the wire back into the connector where you need it. You'll know the wire is inserted correctly because you'll hear or feel it snap into the connector. If by sme chance you get a led backwards, don't freak out. The leds use 5v DC. Just shut down the system & turn that led 180deg & reconnect it.
Good luck bossman9628A!
