For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You need to convert your CDs to MP3 musicfiles. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track. There are also Freeware CD RIP programs on the Internet that can create musictitle and album folders automatically. OR Download MP3 music files from the Internet, some sites will cost money todownload these music files.
Use Windows Media Player to "rip" the music from a CD to the mp3 player - there are video files on Microsoft's website that can show you exactly how to do this. Go to www.microsoft.com and enter "rip using windows medua player" to get the directions. Mp3 players are not "user friendly" like some other products.
Thge SA6045 does not support DRM protected files. If you are downloading these files from the internet, then you'll have to look elsewhere for files.
If you are ripping your own CDs to .MP3 or .WMA with Windows Media Player, then you need to change a setting in Windows Media Player.
Open Windows Media Player. If visible, click on "Tools" then options. If the menus are not visible, right-click at the top of the Media Player Window, then select "Tools" and click options.
Click on the "Rip CD" or "Rip Music" tab (depending on version).
Remove the tick from the box next to "Copy Protect Music" (or similar)
This will stop DRM protection on any further tracks ripped.
first you must format the player using msc mode then after that retransfer the songs to the player. If you are receiving this message it means that the songs on the player have expired. This is normal if you download the songs off rhapsody, napster or any online music stores and if you have ripped songs iwht copy protect music on it if you ripped them using windows media player 10.
Where did you download the songs? Napster?Rhapsody? Any online music stores? Try synchronizing them using their software. If you have ripped songs from a cd you may want to rip them again and before ripping them check this option on your windows media player software. Tools > Options then under RIP MUSIC remove the check mark that say's Copy Protect Music or choose the file format as MP3. Then format the device using the windows media player software(for version 10 = click on the sync tab then choose the pencil like icon on the far right, for version 11 = right click on the sync tab choose the player and choose format) use after doing that rerip the songs using the windows media player software.
