I have the same problem electronios- i am uploading onto the panasonic software using a usb port.
The error msg reads "cannot be worked as the tv system has a different image".
PDF manual doesnt mention this msg.

Wolfdemonsar- I have a solution that may suit you.
I brought the same video cam as you in the US but am trying to upload to my Aussie computer on Vista.
The error message was "cannot be worked as the tv system has a different image".
If that is the same as you, then uninstall the VideoCam suite that came with the camcorder and at setup it will ask what country and have either a (PAL) or (NTSC) next to it.
I had picked Australia (PAL), but on the reinstall I picked the opposite - chose Canada at Random with (NTSC) next to it and it is now uploading the files.
    Verrrry Slooowwwly.

Sdr-s26 camcorder; where usb cable connects? how to upload to pc?

At the right-rear of the camcorder, just below where the strap connects, is another port cover which houses the USB connection point. If you hold the camera as if you were using it, the port cover is right at the point of the "V" formed by your thumb and palm.

SDR S7 panasonic camcorder... lost installation disc

The best solution is to get a replacement CD from Panasonic at
http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Cameras-Camcorders/Camcorders/Hard-Disk-Drive/SD-Camcorders/model.SDR-S7A
They may replace the CD at a reasonable cost (or free plus S&H). Otherwise they can suggest other editing software that can upload your recordings to the PC.
