Tl2000 and it is skipping stitches while quilting. I have changed the needle. I used needles 14 16 & 18 I have cleaned the machine. When I sew seams I have no problems.

Have you changed the type of needle--top stitch, embroidery, microtex? Sometimes that will help. Also, my skipped stitches occur in FMQ because the fabric is moving too fast for the machine speed or I have a jerky movement. It helps me to try slowing down the fabric movement or speed up the machine and practice making smooth, consistent movement. I've never done FMQ with a needle larger than an 80/12, so you might try a smaller needle to reduce the fabric grabbing the thread.

I have a Singer S18, stitches perfect. Attempted to use Zig Zag stich and decorative stitches, These are not working, It will make a few stitches then keeps stitching in place. Any Suggestions? Thanks

You probably need to widen the stitch width before it will let you sew. Or change the pressed foot to accommodate the movement of the needle when making decorative stitches.

When you push foot pedal c3 comes up and beeps 3 times

Don't know what machine you have, but this may help:

Error code & would not sew after 2 uses.

Got this as a Christmas gift. Have used it twice since then for little things. Seemed to be fine. Decorative stitches worked and the straight stitches turned out good too. But didn't last. Just took it out to use on a bigger project and it just stopped sewing. The foot pedal wouldn't work at all. The back stitch button would sew though. If you tapped the pedal aggressively at times it would delay and then jump forward 3 stitches and then display the C3 error code saying the foot pedal was disconnected, which it clearly wasn't. Tried the Singer CS line. Was caller number 20, was on hold for 40 mins when I finally got down to caller number 4. All of a sudden the operator hung up the call and stated "their offices are now closed." I was furious. Needles to say, it went back to WalMart and I won't be buying another one.

Bobbin unthreads my needle and will not sew

Try changing the needle to a new one, size 12, a dull or bent needle will cause this.

It starts to sew, gets to clip thread and then this E on the display starts flashing and beeping and won't sew, I have a Scandnavia with programable 512 card for my 4D . Checked another card in machine and...

"E" stands for error. Something could be wrong with the design, or perhaps it is not suitable for the machine (too big, etc) Let me know the design you are trying to stitch, and perhaps I can help you figure out the error.

Machine is runing along perfect then it will all of sudden start to skip a series of stitches, and then resumes perfectly. Why?

Try leveling up your frame, using a long carpenter's level. Also, check to be sure the wheels on the sensors all make good connection with each other. If one is not, stitches will be skipped when you quilt in the direction of that set of sensors.

Problem while sewing buttonhole with a thick thread

You will need to use a size 18 needle or even better a size 18 top stitch needle. It has a larger eye.Tighten the tension to about an 8 and try it. You may have to lengthen the stitch length to make it sew satisfactorily.. If it won't work on 8 go to 9 and if it still won't work, wrap the thread around the bobbin winder guide (on the left top of the machine) for more tension. It is very hard to sew heavy duty thread on a household machine.
