Do I need more than one Wii remote for Band hero Wii????

Basically i have no idea if I need other remotes for the separate instruments. For example I have the wii remote that came with the wii console in the drum set... so how do i sync the guitar without the remote connected to the guitar OR the microphone,

You need a wii remote for each instrument and the microphone. you need one remote for the drums, one for the bass guitar player, one for the guitar, and one in close proximity to the microphone user. you have to set a wii remote near the microphone once the microphone is plugged into the USB port in the back of the wii console. i think there is something like a 10 foot radius meaning if the wii remote is too far from the microphone it will disconnect. so you can do only one instrument per wii remote you are using.

Juanita, did you get an answer? I have the exact same question. I purchased the Wii and Band Hero for my wife for Christmas. I'm not a gamer, but I just assumed I'd have everything I needed to play the game. Everyone was so excited, but we could not figure out how to play the guitar AND drums with one wiimote. The box Rock Band says that the controllers are included, which to me meant I had what I needed. My friend has Rock Band for the PS2 and he says the guitars have the remotes built in...anyway, I'm confused. Even worse, we couldn't figure out how to score the singing with ONE instrument (figured we'd try the drums and mic). The mic works if you just want to sing for fun, but I can't get it to score while using the drums.

You have to synchronize the drums and guitar to the console. Follow the directions in the instructions.

We bought the WII and band hero- and yes you need to purchase a second remote to play drums & guitar- I also could not figure out how to get the mic to sync with the scoring - just for karaoke- still figuring everything else out- had trouble on getting the guitar and drums to come up together to score both- had it once then when going back in to play again- couldnt figure it out

I bought rock band 3 for wii. I plugged in the dongle for the keyboard and followed the sync instructions exactly. the lights flash on both devices, but when I let go of the sync buttons, the lights on...

This can be frustrated the first few times. Here's the likely issue: the wii version will not activate the keyboard (or drums) if multiple wii remotes are active and all-instruments mode is not enabled.

The multiple wii remote thing: one remote is considered the microphone, and the rest guitar controllers (you can use the wii-remote based wingman and guitar hero guitars with this title). Once you get to two plus wii remotes on, you can't add more.

So, assuming one of your guitar controllers is active, use it to go into the menu system and turn all instruments mode on. Once done, a wii remote is no longer needed to be used for singing, and now singing will be turned on by default (but you can ignore it). Now, your drums and keyboard should work fine.

Eventually, the game smartens up and turns on this mode automatically for you, but the first few times it does not. I nearly threw the game out the window the first day or so.

I have guitar hero rock band set and bought rock band. The guitar an drums are set up on wireless how do you sync them to work with this game?

look on the instruments for a red button. press this button at the same time you press the red button on the front of your wii console. this should sync the system to the controllers. (the guitar should already be synced since you plug the wii remote into it, but do it anyway)

Rockband TrackPack

Unfortunately, the guitar that comes with the Guitar Hero does not work with Rock Band or Rock Band 2. Rock Band, as you mentioned, recognizes the Wiimote as the controller for the microphone.

Unfortunately, you will have to get a guitar that is specifically designed for Rock Band.

I know this isn't the answer that is popular, but if you vote for my solution, please vote at least "Thanks for Trying".

You need to assign a Wii remote to the microphone. Basically, plug in your mic and turn on a spare Wii remote.

Rock band instruments will not work with guitar hero world tour

Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments are NOT compatible on the Wii. They are compatible on the 360, the PS3, and the RB drums for PS2. Activision went their own way with the Wii and made life difficult for all of the aspiring musicians on the Wii. Sorry.

We cannot get the Rock Band Guitar to sync up

Try going to the Wii menu and reconnecting the main remote. You'll be asked to simultaneously press No# 1 & 2 to reconnect the main remote. You can then press No# 1 & 2 on the second remote so that the console reads two remotes. Now you can go to the Guitar Hero software and join the band.
Hope this helps -- it worked for us!
