I am enclosing a few screen captures to help you find your way.
Language
Tap
the Change preference icon. It is the one with the blue wrench to the
left of thae orange arrow on the top picture. Once you are in change
preferences, use the right arrow to explore the options. Find the icon
that is shown on the next picture (the Flags). Use the Up and down
arrows that will show to the right of the list of languages to select
the language you want.
It is normally done under 'Change preference' (Spanner Icon) -> Scroll right Arrow until 'Change language' (Flags Icon) -> Select English -> Select English Voice
ps. I described the Icon as the text will be in german eg. 'Einstellungen andern' -> 'Sprache andern'

Basically: 'Change preference' (look for Spanner image Icon) -> Scroll right Arrow until 'Change language' (look for Flags image Icon) -> Select English -> Select an English Voice
