You can try looking over at xda-developers.net for help. What you want is a "hard reset" ; usually achieved by holding down buttons after you restart the phone. Try restarting, then holding down both volume keys before it turns on.
Probably got a DOA unit. Most ebay sellers allow exchanged or refunds for DOA products within a certain timeframe of purchase.
Otherwise, I would try taking out the battery and leaving it overnight to drain everything inside fully then trying again. If it hangs it is most likely hardware/software and not battery.
Hi I solved the problem by taking off the battery for around 1 hour.
I attached the battery again.
And press hold switch around 10 seconds.
The unit booted and it proceeded to auto configure and auto installed program soft wares.
I realized that the unit is self shutting off.
Solution is go to setting.go to system.go to back light menu. on backlight on external power .Be sure to uncheck turn off backlight if devise is not used for 1 minute.
Be sure to check turn on the back light when button is pressed or the screen is tapped.
press ok to activate the setting.
For maximized battery power and optimized power usage .go also to back light and go to brightness level. Slide the battery and power to almost the 2ndlevel .
Hope this also will be applicable to other o2 xda iis configuration.
Try to bring your O2 XDA II mini to it's own service center because the problem is in it's program itself or it's memory containing it's program. The service center has their own orignal software utilities for that.
try going to http://forum.xda-developers.com/ and searching there. they have loads of advice of the XDA IIs. Proberly need to start a fresh with it, try a hard reset as it seems your stuck in bootloader mode
